Please check your food before leaving the restaurant! This last time I went they never added guacamole on my tacos and I paid extra $3 for it. A previous time I ordered chicken tacos as well and I received steak tacos with slices of avocado not guacamole. I do have to say the food does always taste yummy in my experience but the cashier service could be more polite.

Actually, I got a delivery order from DoorDash. The food was OK. I felt the taco was kind of dry and I had the tamale which I liked it better had a good texture and a taste. I like that it was full of meat but the nachos I didn’t really care for that much. They were soggy and it ain’t too much Stuff in it that didn’t like I don’t think I would order that again. I got my order very quickly I like that part of it. I know I passed a restaurant today. It’s pretty nice tight inside but overall I may what are this food again but it’s not my first choice

I love coming here. The food is good and you can rack up points and then get free food. Whenever I order online by the time I’m there my food is ready. I’ve never had to wait for my food.

My family and I have been getting our steak fries here for yearssss. We loved the food and Taco Depot but ever since they got bigger they went down…it was a lot better when it was more on the low.
Anytime we try to place an order through the phone it never works, it’s takes through a whole maze to try and order just to tell us we need to download the app only for us to try that and it not even work.
Used to like this place not so sure anymore.

First time and last coming here. The tacos are very greasy and have very little meat. They put so much onions and barely any cilantro. When I got home my bag didn’t have any hot salsa or silverware. The tamale had a weird taste to the chicken I only ate about 2 bites. I gave it 2 stars because the horchata was decent and the service was fast.

You won’t be coming here for the ambience or dining room but for the tasty juicy tacos the kitchen is dishing out. The dining room was a cold as outdoors minus the wind and had some of the most uncomfortable chairs and tables. We aren’t even large people. But the reason we drove a bit out of our way is for the tacos and while we didn’t try the “karla” taco – the chicken and carnitas were flavorful. Also tried a steak gordita – nice and crispy as well. The food was seasoned well. Oh yeah, don’t expect a greeting of any kind as the 3 order takers look pained to be there. Prices are fair, don’t understand the expensive comments.

Taco Tuesday deals. We got the Karla 3pk special and 3 steak tacos. Price is friendly.
It’s a bit of a drive for me but well worth it!! Staff was very friendly. Easy on my pockets
My only complaint is that they don’t have any menu to take.
(My husband likes paper menus because he can decide what he wants to have me order)

Wanted to try this place for so long because of the hype. however, after trying a variety of items on their menu I was sadly disappointed… All my tacos was EXTREMELY GREASY the tortillas and the meat. I do understand that Karla tacos are cooked that way with the consume but the other tacos I order, Steak, Carnitas, & Chicken was so greasy it was dripping. The salsa and guacamole is VERY bland and is refrigerated instead of made fresh…One positive thing I can say was that the Elotes and their Tamales were great. I will not be giving this place a second chance there are more authentic Mexican restaurants that have the flavor

Avoid. Customer service es horrible, potentially racist. This place has gone downhill. Cold food, rude workers, high prices, long wait times. Recently I bought 2 nachos for $30, for myself and my mom, and the cashiers were beyond rude. It’s an Hispanic establishment and I don’t believe they respect the community they work in. When I walked to the register, I asked the cashier about the sign that said “cash only” because I had money on my card. She took my card, processed it, gave me a receipt and did not say “thank you,” or anything. I sat waiting in the lobby for almost 30 minutes until the same cashier asked my mom what she was waiting for. I found this to be extremely rude since I was the only who made the order but she didn’t address me at all. She asked my mom instead. And it also came off like she lost my order. Frustrated by the situation, instead of explaining my order I sat my receipt on the table and asked for my money back. One of the cashiers pointed at the sign that says, “no refunds,” while the other one told me, “don’t throw that receipt at me!” Disrespected and out of options I just asked for my food so I could leave and never come back. Once my food was prepared 5 minutes later I took it to my car to find out it was the wrong order. I ordered chicken nachos but they gave me steak. I was so upset and hungry after waiting 40 minutes, I just ate what they gave me. It was something like steak or pulled pork but I didn’t enjoy it because it was greasy and I threw half of it away. So I wasted my $30. They mistreated me because I was dumb enough to give them my money. This place was a good place years ago but now I don’t believe they respect the people they serve. They come off as arrogant and passive aggressive. We can’t continue supporting businesses that don’t treat us with good customer service. Who knows what their opinion is of the community they work in. They need to be humbled. We make them rich and they treat us like trash. There are a few different options in the area, with better prices, and they’ll get your order right. Maybe even smile after spending your hard earned money. I’ll be willing to drive a further distance for a better quality experience. I have a place I like in East Chicago. But Please Avoid the mistreatment, and find somewhere else.
