Been here a few times and the food is just always delicious. It’s nice being able to get good barbacoa and lingua tacos. Now they have other options such as steak if you want. Now the Taco City Rice bowl….. You better be hungry because that bowl is packed with food and deliciousness. And as a bonus the Mado poppers (bacon wrapped jalapenos) are just awesome. Chris and his staff are always extremely helpful and nice. I recommend trying these guys for your taco/Mexican food cravings

Royse city! You are SLEEPING on this spot. The prices are great, the service was fantastic, and the diverse menu fulfilled all my food desires for the day! More stars if Margs were an option. The chips were fresh and seasoned to perfection. The torta was and fresh. The poppers were very well made and not leaky or soggy. Not to mention the thin crispy potatoes…. I’m literally DREAMING of those tasty little spuds. Well done. Will return

We tried Taco City y Mas not long after they opened, so keep in mind this was about two months ago and things may have improved since then. The spot itself is small but nicely set up with cute plates and a simple layout that works well for families.
When we walked in, the first thing we noticed was the handwritten sign explaining that this is not fast food and that orders take at least 15 to 20 minutes because everything is made to order. While I understand the reasoning, the way it was written felt a little off-putting and defensive right out of the gate.
We ordered a mix of tacos, appetizers, and kids’ plates. The tacos were genuinely good and flavorful, easily the best part of the meal. The appetizers were just okay and not something I would recommend spending extra on. The kids’ plates were decent and did the job, but nothing that stood out.
Service was fine and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time given the made-to-order approach. Overall, Taco City y Mas has potential and is worth trying if you are in the area and want good tacos, but I would probably skip the appetizers and go straight for the main plates. I am curious to see how they settle in as they get more established.

My daughter and I went there for our first time today for lunch. Raquel was so sweet and kind and made us feel so welcomed. The food is hands down, the BEST! It was so good I told my husband that we’re going there for dinner. That was his first time. We then met Chris, we was also very kind and made us feel very welcomed. I did not catch the young man’s name who brought us our food, but he was also very kind. I made sure to tell Chris about him as well. I highly recommend this place and will be telling EVERYONE I know that they need to give it a try. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

So first, our most favorite cultural cuisine is Mexican. I heard they had good tacos from my teenage son a few months back so my husband and I tried it out last night. To my surprise, EVERYTHING was delicious! Upon walking in, it smells CLEAN!! A plus in my book!! Literally, the only flaw was a few flying critters that came in hungry too (☺️) and our ribeye tacos were a little overcooked. Besides that, I absolutely loved my experience here. We ordered the Thursday Tortas special, 3 tacos plate, the Madi Poppers and the Enchiladas plate. We sampled it all! All of this food was $45 and some change!! The wait wasn’t bad at all. Now, everything was fresh, just the right amount of spices and love went into every dish. I really think someone’s abuela is back there cooking. We tasted the love and culture in the food. So that was GREATLY appreciated. I felt like a piece of Dallas has come to little Royse City. The music and the atmosphere was refreshing to me. I would recommend to ANYONE and I am definitely going back! Thank you for the great service at the counter and from the teenage waitress.

I was making homemade enchiladas and after cooking the chili con carne from scratch, shredding my cheese, chopping onion, heating my oven and preparing to heat my oil for the tortillas to assemble the enchiladas I realized the tortillas I thought were in my pantry were not. I REALLY didn’t want to go to Walmart so as I pulled in I saw Taco City. Called and asked if they just sell tortillas lol YES it cost a little more than a store bought pack of too many tortillas BUT it took the extra prep work step out of me having to heat the oil for the tortillas to roll my enchiladas so it was definitely well worth the money of a cpl extra bucks. The tortillas were perfect. No cracking, crumbling or tearing as I rolled the enchiladas. And as promised next time I make enchiladas I’ll bring yall some. Bonus that my house is literally only a Cpl min away lol Thanks guys!!! Sincerely the crazy girl who called while turning into the lot

Tried Taco City Y Mas 3 after being indecisive about what I wanted for lunch. The waitress @ the counter was friendly once I figured out what I wanted, but there was no greeting when I came in. Which is my primary reason for the 4-Star rating. Ordered a shrimp taco & fajita salad. It took about 15 mins. For my order to be prepared & it was fresh. The presentation & taste were both good. For the size of the salad, I would recommend including more than one salad dressing. May return to this location to try a different menu item.

Delicious food, very nice staff. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the great tacos! Music was a little loud but that might be because my ears are sensitive.
