2022 Food Truck Month, Part 3
We caught up with “Taco Chela” on the corner of Korean Veteran’s Boulevard and Rep. John Lewis Way, South in Nashville, Tennessee.
Based upon what we observed, it would appear that they are putting down some (at least temporary) roots, so this location should be solid for the foreseeable future.
The most noteworthy things from this visit include:
*The contributions of the pineapple upon the “Pastor” tacos.
*The contributions of the marinated flank steak upon the “Carne Asada” tacos.
*The contributions of the chipotle creme upon the “Pollo Rojo” tacos.
This place is worthy of another visit from Henry’s Take…and your first visit, as well.
And that’s…Henry’s Take.

I walked up and I asked what’s kind of taco meat they had and he pointed me to go around the taco truck as he was watching his little soccer game. I asked for my food and he seemed very uninterested in attending me, looks like he wanted to get back to his soccer game. Seems like they forget that customers are what feed them and pay their bills to be able to watch their little futbol games. The carne asada and pastor aren’t all that, on top of that it’s flour tortilla, nothing authentic about that. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for real Mexican tacos.

Taco Chela is a standard resident food truck offering quick Mexican bites. I tried the Pollo Rojo taco, and while I appreciated their prompt service, the flavor and texture left a lot to be desired.

Wonderful service. The ceviche was one of the best I have ever had. Good selection of Tequila. Didn’t really care for having to pay for chips and salsa but they were worth it. The art on the walls were beautiful. Food was good, a little over priced.

This spot is LEGIT. When they have the meat, the steak is phenomenal. Pork Al pastor was delicious as well. Our bachelor party finished our nights with this taco stand each night over the weekend. DELICIOUS
