Everything was canned. Pork for tacos – canned. Guac – canned. Salsa – canned. Wings raw. And the cherry on top, they’re literally layers of dead bugs on tables everywhere. Food poisoning waiting to happen. How did the health department let this stay open?

The food was just bad. I doubt the validity of reviews to have this place as 4 stars.
Limited menu with seating just off the casino at Lady Luck. There is an outdoor patio. I ordered the Standard Taco with Ground Beef ($5), the Shrimp Al Pastor Taco ($6) chips & salsa ($7) and a beer ($7). Total price was $27.00. For a buffet alternative, the pricing is too high.
The Shrimp were bland and had the texture of soft tofu. No texture or bite at all. It was gross. Three shrimp fell out of my taco onto the plate and I had no desire to pick them up and eat them, and I love shrimp.
The Ground Beef Taco was served with a side of grease as you can see in the picture. That’s what it looked like when I unwrapped it. The Ground Beef also had no texture. Could have just been greasy Beans instead and I wouldn’t have known the difference.
The chips were from a bag. The salsa was a bit mushy but at least had a bite. The beer was good.
Such a waste of an opportunity in this Casino setting to offer people a quality alternative to $50 Buffets with well cooked, affordable Mexican fare and a limited menu. This meal didn’t even come close to that unfortunately.

Food is all canned and not fresh. Tortillas are not cooked. Tacos are soggy and unappetizing. I would give zero stars if we could.

Me coming from Texas, this is the most subpar “Mexican” food I’ve tasted. The meat in my enchiladas were ground beef, almost like canned meat. I was expecting some “fajita” or “carne asada” for the beef option. The rice didn’t looked nor tasted fresh, seemed microwaved to me. The beans and the queso on the chips were good.

Service was terrible, single person working and we were the only customers. There are 2 tables, she told us to have a seat. We waited several minutes thinking she would wave to us or bring them there. She was just standing at the counter on her phone while our food just sat there. I finally went up and got it, the taco shells felt cold as if they came out of the fridge. The meat was very dry and cold. The only positive was the queso. It’s the first time in Blackhawk Colorado and the food options are limited and mediocre at best.

Overall it was a good experience eating here. The food was yummy and the man who served us was kind and was apologetic for the wait we had even though we really did not wait very long at all! The servings on our nachos were large and had lots of chicken on them. I would definitely recommend checking this place out, especially if you are looking for a place that is safe for someone with shellfish allergies. No shellfish on the menu, at least right now, I’d definitely recommend eating here for a quick bite during casino night!
