The guy taking orders and in charge has no enthusiasm and clearly hates dealing with people. He was trying to be smart with me during my order, luckily I was raised right and am a patient adult. You would think the franchise owner would want to hire folks that will want to earn business. Consider my business lost. This happened on 3/1/26 between 6:50pm-7:00pm

They forgot my salsa but they were sure to leave me with the plastic wrap or bag for their beans instead. Complete with the expiration sticker so at least I know my food isn’t spoiled! Lucky me!

Terrible customer service. Would get asked to repeat something then got cut off mid response. Can not follow basic procedures like adding cheese to a breakfast taco. For some reason not able to run a refund for serving raw meat…

I came here expecting to get the flavor and service I’ve received here in the past, however, this trip was much less inviting or wowing.
The salsa bar only has pico and barely any old salsa that looks like it’s been sitting. Half of the drinks are flat, there are no coffee cups, only large cup lids, and half of the staff only speaks Spanish, so when I asked for lids they didn’t understand me. The guy stationed at the cash register noticed me taking photos and only came over when he saw so. After our interaction, he immediately started restocking and cleaning up. This place needs to be inspected.
As I was sitting there waiting for our food, one of the ladies past me and brought it to my son and his grandfather who were already seated in the outdoor area.
The food looked decent, however was very bland, no flavor whatsoever.
P.s. all of the emergency exits are locked.

Absolutely terrible experience. I placed a curbside order scheduled for 12:44 PM and arrived on time. I called the store six times trying to let them know I was outside — no one ever answered. After waiting and watching eight cars go through the drive-thru and get their food, I had no choice but to go inside. I was met with attitude and told they were short staffed, which clearly didn’t apply to the drive-thru.

When I finally got my order at 12:57 PM, it was completely wrong. I ordered:
• 4 bean & cheese tacos with salsa
• 2 soft chicken tacos with salsa
• 2 cabana bowls (1 beef fajita with red salsa + salsa ranch, 1 ground beef with red + green salsa)
• 3 orders of sopapillas

What I received was:
• 3 bean & cheese tacos
• 2 soft chicken tacos
• 2 cabana bowls, both incorrect — one with ground beef and the other looked like pulled pork
• No salsa at all
• Sopapillas were the only thing right

Calling the store is a joke because no one answers the phone. This is the only Taco Cabana in San Marcos, and the service is consistently awful. If you value your time, money, or accuracy, avoid this location.

Crazy that we are paying and expecting to get what we paid for. These tacos are over $4. Yet there is hardly two pieces of meat in this taco. I literally seen the girl constantly shaking the spoon. I’m assuming that was to make sure I didn’t get any meat on the taco, just sauce/gravy.

Shut this restaurant down or replace the whole franchise team. This business is robbing customers. Never again. $50+ dollar order yet only given maybe $30 worth of what I paid for.

Also, seen that there are only 3 options on the salsa bar. I asked for cilantro and onion for my 4 asada tacos and was given one 1oz container.

Every time I come in during my lunch break, this restaurant is completely disgusting, the staff is rude, and my order is sometimes messed up, missing something, or on more than one occasion, I’ve been given a crispy taco shell that before I even touch it, is already broken.

This location used to be good to eat at before Covid, but I’m tired of coming in at 1 PM, and finding a disgusting restaurant with no clean tables, and no place to put my trash. It’d be one thing if they were always busy when this happens, but sometimes I’ve been the only customer in the store, and no cars in drive through that I could see, and just saw everyone in the back on their cellphones, and chatting instead of trying to clean this store, including people in the managers shirts.

I will not be coming back again, I’ll be finding somewhere else to eat when I’m on my lunch break, and I strongly advise anyone else to do the same, clearly nobody at this store wants to work.

The chips on my nachos were extremely stale. They were eating 5 minutes after I received the order so it couldn’t have been because they were sitting. It sucks because the service was amazing

I ordered the beef fajita taco plate and the meat was not cooked all the way. It was still red. Everytime i come here, I never get my whole order, not to mention they always forget the extras. You need to re-train your employees. Seriously hard is it to prepare a to go order? I don’t think I’ll be back on account of the food is not that great and the restaurant isn’t like it used to be like back in the day…..and the employee’s are never friendly or say thank you, they just close the drive thru window on you. What happened to customer service? Really?!
