Stopped by while I was out and about and finally got to try the popular Birria Bombs. I usually just get a burrito bowl from here, so I was excited to try something different. The staff were all friendly and welcoming; answered questions that I had. The inside was partially decorated in a few areas for halloween.
The Birria bombs combo came with 3 Birria balls, sauce, and consomé (8/10) there was a good amount of cheese inside and a decent amount of meat, the flavor was pretty good, but I felt like the balls had too much dough. At one point in one of the balls, after a couple of bits, I had majority dough and a little sliver of meat. I also felt like the consomé wasn’t as flavorful as I’m used to at other restaurants.
I don’t think l’d try the Birria bombs in particular again, but I would like to try how their actual Birria tacos are at some point.
My overall rate of experience: 7.8/10

I walked in on a Saturday. I was greeted right away by the gentleman behind the counter. I told him I wanted a burrito and I was starving. He recommended the Guapito Burrito:
Two tortilla quesadilla rolled into a burrito to your specifications of toppings, protein and salsas.
I went with the steak, pica de gallo , black beans, cilantro, lettuce, guacamole and he added a squeeze of lime for extra.
I got a water and paid. The young lady said I could take a seat and they would bring it out.
To my surprise they toasted the burrito!! God bless you!
It was phenomenal. It was massive as well. About the size of my forearm. I used a fork for scale in a photo.
Overall it was great. I will be back to try the Chorizo! ☺️
I came back on a Wednesday. The Birria Tacos were recommended to me. That’s what I got. Absolutely !!! Highly recommend. The broth was amazing too. Cheese was melty. Taco shell still had some crunch.
Love this place so much. Highly recommend if you want a yummy bite to eat for lunch or dinner. Dine in if you can so it’s nice and fresh.
I will be back for more!!!

FINALLY AN AMAZING MEXICAN PLACE IN NORFOLK!! We walked in and one of the co-owners walked us through the menu and we we loved all the food we ordered. We’ll for sure be coming back! (Pic is of the birria bombs )

LOVED this place & meal! The owner is so friendly & Cares about ea and every customer and also a Veteran. Skip Qdoba & Chipotle and come here instead; similar style concept (quick-serve), but w more authentic food.

I rarely leave negative reviews but…..
I will NEVER order from this place again. First off, they charge 13% sales tax and the max limit for Norfolk is: 11.5%. Their address is clearly in Norfolk and not in VB. That and they tack on 3.5% processing fee. Norfolk city treasurer, come investigate.
I had a large order, actually only for 4 people, but ended up spending $103.66???????
More reasons I will not return:
1. They added a dollar for guacamole. Menu doesn’t state guacamole is an extra charge.
2. They charged me $1.59 for consome for my birria quesadilla. Looking at the pic I provided, I did not get any consome. I was PISSED when I got home an discovered this.
3. They charged me $9.96 for a large order of rice and $9.96 for a large order of refried beans where their menu CLEARLY states it’s $2.49 for each. I argued that fact with them but the girl at the register wouldn’t budge so now it’s going on their review.
4. They charged me $1.96 for 4 habenero salsas where this charge is not found anywhere on their menu. They also charge $.50 for half a lime? Who does that? Oh, I know, This place.
5. Doing a large order at their ridiculous window is kind of impossible. Fine if you’re coming in for lunch and maybe ordering a combo or 2 items but the person taking the order wouldn’t take a whole large order. I had to piece the whole order together in between other people ordering. That and they don’t understand English and don’t even know their own pricing or portions.
Once again, never coming back. I don’t care if they fix all this crap or get shut down for false advertisements and tax fraud.

Just had to try this place. Been hearing a lot of chatter about it. I got their largest burrito and “good lord” it was huge, possibly the largest I have been gotten. The line moved quickly and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. While I was enjoying this burrito creation the manager made his way around to all the tables and guest and made sure everyone was doing well and satisfied with their food. I was impressed by this because alot of places will not make the effort check on customers and quality control.

We have been looking for a good burrito place since moving here that reminds us of the big southern California burritos and this place “is the place” They had so many options just like a chipotle but way better in every way, and you get so much for the price. All of the food was fresh and very flavorful. The burritos and everything else was so big that you could share it with someone else and you both would be satisfied. We will definitely be back to try more. There was plenty of parking and indoor seating. The restaurant was clean and organized. The employees were very friendly and helpful to go over any questions and the manager came around to everyone to see how it was and if you needed anything else.

This place is absolutely AMAZING! My husband and I first time trying this establishment and we will DEFINITELY be coming back! The food is incredibly delicious, juicy, flavorful, and FRESH! Every single bite of food was just a burst of freshness and flavor that you can’t get at any other restaurant like this one! I promise you! Pleaseeeee RUN to this restaurant! The staff were very friendly and very helpful, the restaurant was cleaned to perfection, and on top of all that its Family Owned! We had the Birria Balls, Steak and Chicken Tacos, and the Street Tacos! Best first time experience we’ve ever had!!

Wonderful experience. Everyone greeted me as i walked in. I felt welcomed and the vibe was very cozy. Staff was very helpful from explaining the menu down to telling me about the family’s history with the restaurant. Veteran operated as well. Coming back with my family and trying the birria tacos and pupusas again. 10 out of 10
