In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. I’ve always loved Taco Bueno but what is up with this location lately? I just tried to get a couple burritos and I was told there was a 40-minute wait. The last time I had to wait over twenty minutes (again, just for two burritos). I’m close to giving up on this location altogether.

Here on 11 19. The worst I ever had! Great until blond haired man that is the manager today. I paid full price for my food. He left and the staff went WAY down hill from there. If there was a zero I would just how do I order a beef nacho salad and get no chips and lettuce, the how is a taco burger a burger with no meat we order 3 of them and only one has a decent amount of meat. This is absolutely the worst bueno I have ever been to. Personally I don’t like them anyway but the wife and kids DID untill now

Terrible, terrible service. MOD Tasha needs to be trained on proper customer service. I stood in the lobby for 10 minutes, only the person at the prep table acknowledged me. When she goes around to tell the MOD to get them on register, I hear them yell “theyre gonna wait a minute.”
After waiting patiently, drive thru orders coming in just fine, she still doesnt acknowledge me, walking around the corner then walking away when she sees Im still waiting
Then she declines to take my order in the lobby just because, no logical reason, drive thru orders still being processed. Trash customer service, trash behavior and trash management skills. If anyone from corporate sees this, the only person on that shift worth noting was the line cook, they at least acknowledged me and spoke to me. No one else did. Despicable.

Went through drive through got 2 bean burrito, muchaco, and a chicken potato burrito, muchaco missing the beans in the bean burritos weren’t hydrated so I was eating beans that where as hard as rocks all for 20 dollars. their phone doesn’t work so after getting scammed I couldn’t call them to make it right.

Taco Bueno will never be better than 2 stars. They’re usually quick because they’re never busy and their prices are usually lower than other like places. If you’re expected to be amazed by the food, lower your expectations.

Drove through the drive through 2 times no answer- kitchen was empty food was on. Went inside and there was no one to be seen. Saw a lady in the office and poked my head in and she told me I couldn’t be “ back there” I was still in the lobby just leaned down to say “hello?” And she sat there anyways and there was no one else in sight. Online orders still coming through and no one there.

Thought I would try something different for lunch, and I always see one of my housemates come home with Taco Bueno. I ordered a platter and upon receiving it this is what I got… one half of the taco shell isn’t there, very little rice which looked overcooked but was crunchy, everything just seemed to be throw in there… for $16 not worth it.

Always great food! I am glad that over the years the quality and quality has not changed, like so many other fast food chains have. The service lacks a bit as does the atmosphere. The womens restroom door does not close and so also does not lock, so make sure you have someone guarding your door. Someone can and will walk in, happened to our daughter. My favorite is the BOB. Good classic that always hits the spot.
