In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Two times I have went and both times they have given me half my order. The first time I drove 20 mins home and realized so I had to drive back. They did give me what I was missing but by the time I got back home everyone had eaten and the stuff I was supposed to eat was cold. The second time I went not only did they forget stuff entirely, they did not ring up the tacos right. Tuesdays are $1 a party taco and I was charged full price. She also rang me up for only 1 when I know I asked for 8. She then rang them up but guess what? My total was then 13 bucks. I double checked her and said “for 7 party tacos?” She apologized and said “I thought you said burritos”…. I feel like I was the one doing her job rather than her doing her own job. Those chip bags are half full and half the time they just don’t even give you them.

I like Taco Bueno overall. We don’t go very often, but this location is the nearest to us. Just know that if you go to this particular location and go through the drive-thru that they will NEVER get your order right. Something is always missing… always. Pretty sure when I went through today that the man working the window was also preparing the food. Need to step it up Taco Bueno or just close the doors. This location is on the run down side, as well, with one of the two drive-thru lanes always blocked off. And yes, true to form, I was missing an item in my order today. Sigh…

Every time I go here they there.Forget the salsa or something is wrong on the order.But this day I literally got their 2 tacos.It’s supposed to be buy one get one free. Well now I know why they put about fifty cents worth of meat on the taco when I could have gotten a whole bag at walmart and made my own tacos for the same amount of money.. hence why people stop eating out ridiculous. But the service was great!

Well we all know that the party items are small. What we didn’t know is the stuffing on the inside of the party burritos and party items has gotten smaller and the prices gotten bigger. I personally would not suggest eating any of the party items because you’re not going to get your money’s worth. We have tried to call but no one answers and then it goes to a busy signal over and over and over. Kept my receipt so I can see the manager in the morning and see if they ever make them the taco shells were stale before I even left Fort Worth.

Chunk of “overcooked” ground beef in the taco. Taquitos taste bland and undercooked but also overcooked on the ends. Salsa tastes weird. Kind of like tobacco sauce. They didn’t take my order and I had to repeat it at the window. I’ve gone here for years but the last few times have been very off.

Ordered 2 Chicken Muchacos with no lettuce or tomatoes, add sour cream. Description says, soft pita, chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, black beans and cheese. What I got was a greasy, hard pita, refried beans and cheese. There were MAYBE half a dozen tiny chunks of chicken. There was sour cream though! Enough sour cream for 4 muchacos ON EACH ONE.

I ordered a dozen tamales. They came in sealed plastic bags and were filled with liquid. The tamales were liquid mush and not edible at all. I have always loved their tamales so I am very disappointed. The guy at the window also gave me the incorrect drink after I corrected him twice when I ordered. Maybe if he wasn’t on his phone then the service and food would have been better.

I ordered thru doordash and i was given enough cheese with my mexi dips and chips for 2 chips! Was the most disgraceful thing I’ve ever seen. The shell had a hole in the bottom but there was no cheese poured out so that’s the way they sent out the order. Where’s the manager at this location good Lord!!!!

This place is the most mediocre place ever. They would get 3 stars if they could get our order right. We’ve been there 4 times and 3 out of the 4 times they forgot something. Also, the quesadilla is so sad. If I didn’t have 2 small children I would have drove back to get a refund (see photos)
