In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. On Wednesday, 12/3/2025 I picked up delivery food through DoorDash for a customer & I was in the dining room waiting for the food to be brought to the counter. During the short wait, I saw a large roach come from one side of the dining room near the salsa bar and crawl to the base of the counter and then over to the other side of the dining room towards the restrooms

Stopped by today and ordered a BOB and beans and cheese. The food was very good and their beans were fresh. The lobby was very clean was well was the bathrooms. I will definitely be returning for lunch again.

When they first opened, it was so good. everything was fresh and good. On the last few visits, the food has been stale. The sweet tea used to be so, so good tastes like it’s soured. We were so excited about having this place, and it’s really gone downnhill fast. Sad. Do better.

One of the Best taco bueno I been to in awhile
Not only was the food good but the lady was very sweet and kind also got my order out very fast didn’t have to take my whole lunch break waiting for my food to be ready!! We’ll definitely be coming back!! 10 out 10!!!

Waited forever for someone to come to the counter and take our order. No containers for the salsa bar and got attitude when I asked if we could get some. Another guy came in after me and waited almost 10 minutes for someone to take his order. Empty inside and I can see why. Pretty disappointing as these are usually good restaurants.

We stopped by this Taco Bueno on our trip, and let me tell y’all, this location is AMAZING! Our food was amazingly fresh and delicious! And we didn’t have to wait forever to get our food. I highly recommend this location!

I received great service and delicious food. I went around noon, and the assistant manager (Jason) did a great job at being food knowledgeable plus polite. I’d recommend this place to those that are looking for fast Tex mix.

Went here when I got off work ask for a nachos $11.00 and a chicken burrito..Nachos, for a whole Lotta lettuce no meat so the server was very rude, no customers in the lobby are drive-thur so I check my nachos i said to her ma’am it don’t have no meat a lot of lettuce how much do it cause for extra meat $1.89 Gesh everybody try and get over Bummer,a Concern Tax payer
