In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. I came to pick up my personal online order they said someone already came to pick it up refused to remake it and their general manager said there was nothing they could do about it bc I didn’t place the order in the location. Then she threw a recepit at me that wasnt even my order. Such a great way to run you establishment.

I really loved Taco Bueno 10 years ago. How disappointing! This place doesn’t smell of cooking food or disinfectant. It’s an odd smell. They should cook some hamburger and onions just so it smells like food. The chips and crispy taco shell had a slightly bitter flavor. The meat didn’t look browned, but the flavor was ok. Good salsa bar I thought, but not once did anyone clean the drips and a spoon was misding for red salsa. My table had remnants from some other meal. The guac was odd in color…very dark green. Why? I did eat most of my beef taco, guac, and chips, however, but wasnt much to it. Yep, hungry. I hope I dont get sick. Makes me sick to think of it now. One small taco and 2 tablespoons of guac cost $6. I stopped in the restroom, and the odor of urine was appalling! I thought I was in the men’s, but no. Looks cleaned, but HORRIBLE SMELL!!! I think this place might get closed down. We’ll, I won’t be back to ANY Taco Bueno again. I knew I was crazy, but I had fond memories.

The food is great but as the prices go up the keep giving you less of what you order even though you are paying more! A regular bean burrito is like party bean burrito now and a regular bean burrito cost almost $3.00…it’s ridiculous!!!

Last two times 2/1 and today 2/7 2024 the meat has been way too salty. Especially on the Taco Burger it’s the meat not the sauce. I’m taking this one back this time. I can taste the salt in the other items but with the lettuce and hot sauce on them I could stand to eat them. But NOT THAT TACO BURGER!!
