In 1967, we opened our doors in Abilene, TX to share fresh, authentic Mexican food. Now, almost 52 years later, while the other guys have turned to packaged and processed foods, we’ve stayed true to our roots by crafting authentic recipes in each of our kitchens. Kept getting cutoff while trying to order. Then they didn’t even get it right. Then they literally gave me a taco shell and lettuce. Do not recommend. Bean “burrito” had no cheese, was actually as thick as a pen. $3 a piece for these. Go across the street to Catrina’s and get a real taco.

Probably the WORST experience I have ever had at taco bueno. This location seems to be skimping and doing things their own way vs how the menu presents itself. I have been eating taco bueno for 30 years and this is NOT how you make a taco. I also got the grilled chicken potatoe burrito & it was SMALLER than my party burrito this is pathetic & frustrating.

Went through the drive through earlier and I ordered two crispy beef tacos, and 1 bean burrito, I asked her if she could take off the tomatoes and add sour cream. Repeated that order to her 4 times because she kept interrupting me, she doesn’t read it back to me. I pay and get home and not surprised, my food is messed up like it is everytime I go through the drive thru. I know, my fault for continuing to go back. I call up there 5 times in a row all of which they hung up on me besides the last one. She finally answers and I stated I had been through the drive thru and my order was messed up so I wanted to speak to the manager, the lady in the drive thru was the manager, I told her what was wrong and even apologized and told her I don’t mean to sound rude, I just wanted a refund for the items I did not receive, she says nothing and then tells me to get the receipt number to her, I go and get the number and she proceeds to tell me that “she rang up exactly what I told her so it was a miscommunication on my part and for me to come back in tomorrow night and she’ll remake the order” I told her that’s not what I wanted and she repeated the same sentence over again and said “okay? Thanks” and then hung up on me.
This is very unprofessional and especially for a manager to be treating their customers like this. I’ve worked in food for the majority of my life, so I understand having bad days, but this is unacceptable. All I wanted was a refund for the two tacos I did not receive.

My first time experiencing their food…The food was a bit below average from what I tried…Soft shell beef taco was the only bright spot I also tried the hard shell chicken and that’s a definite NO Hard shell beef taco was just ok…It was bland and the shell was horrible…I also tried their house made guacamole and it was decent…
The bright spot was an employee working the drive thru by the name of, Logan…This young man was energetic, friendly and very enthusiastic about their product…He even mentioned to me that he loves working there…Kudos to him and he made the difference for me in trying a few of their items …

This has to be the most neglected Taco Bueno I have ever been to. The staff and the food are great. But navigating the giant holes in the parking lot and then fighting to talk over a trash bag on the drive-thru speaker is less than ideal. I really wish whomever owns this location would set their team up for success.

I can’t understand why a few persons said that the food was skimpy here, we had the largest big ole burritos that we’ve ever had. All tables were wiped and the floor looked very clean as well.

Came through the drive-thru on my lunch break, took forever, the lady was rude to me when I asked for extra salsa, then when I finally opened my tacos, there was hardly any meat in any of them…it was all lettuce and cheese! Never going here again. Service was terrible and the food was even worse!

They can’t seem to ever get my one order correct, but it’s still good. Don’t come here right before they close (like 8:30 or 9 PM). They’re always out of guacamole or something else. Their cheese quesadillas is always perfect though (a hefty amount of cheese). Queso is good too. If it’s the young male, he will mess up your order. The female always get my order correct, but she’s rarely at the window – 5 stars to her.
