I’ve eaten at Taco Bell here in Woodland Park for almost a decade now. Two to three years ago, this restaurant was a standing disaster, and it would close at random times and was run by rude managers. I once sat in the drive through waiting for my food for an hour, no exaggeration whatsoever. Today, that’s just not the case. The GM, Sergio, has put together a solid team, and has this restaurant humming whenever he’s on the shift. I’m honest more than impressed by the turnaround, because McDonald’s ain’t doing what his team is doing. It’s not an easy operation to run, and it’s hard to staff up here in Woodland Park, wgere everyone runs on mountain time… if you know, you know. Regardless, I’ve also watched the owner come in and put his hands on the morning and day crews, and the difference shows. I only eat here in the afternoon and evenings really, but man this place is different in a good way. I also know some of the employees and I see how Sergio is putting time into his team, and I actually see pride in their output, which is super rare anymore. My only complaint is that the prices are now on par with the local sit down taqueria/Mexican food restaurants, which is a dangerous gamble I would think. I’m sure the owner is monitoring things carefully, but if service has any say in whether they’re doing their part to earn it, Sergio’s team is doing their part. Good on you guys! Keep it up!!!

Food has always been hit or miss but service has been good. Can only order on kiosk even though there were 7-9 employees behind the counter. I understand self serve ordering but wording with a person should be an option. No one inside or in drive thru when we arrived yet almost 15 min to get food.
Then even the most basic things were wrong and some food was cold, some was warm, none of it was hot. A taco that come standard with pico had none and when I took it to get fixed it took 3 people and 3 minutes (after I had to wait a minute or 2 with 5 employees looking at me while doing nothing for someone to even ask what I needed) to get a cup of pico as if no one knew what it was. Nacho fries were ordered but received potatoes with some seasoning sprinkled on the top 2…. Was told “yeah, we don’t have those…. Then the chalupa was hard as a rock. So my 2nd trip back up I wait while they all look at me like deer in headlights and when I ask for a manager they act like I’m crazy.
Manager was very pleasant apologized and had the chalupa remade. When asked about the nacho fries she too tells me they don’t have those but they “can’t remove from the self order kiosk”, but had no answer when I asked why I wasn’t told or there wasn’t a note on the kiosk she had no answer. Remade chalupa was hot and fresher but with minimal meat even for taco bell standards.
It was 45 degrees tops in the dining area, absolutely freezing to be inside and ridiculous for any business with a dining area. 1 bathroom out of order and the other dirty enough I told my wife to not use it. Fountain drink machine broken and as long as I had to wait for help it wasn’t worth even attempting to get my $3 medium drink refilled.
$45 for 2 adults and a child to eat while freezing I would at least expect the food to be properly made, fresh and hot. I could’ve just gone across the street to the real Mexican restaurant for not much more, had fresh food, been warm and likely done in the same time. The ownership should be ashamed of themselves and corporate should really look at this location. I imagine this location is only still open due to getting tourist passing through not knowing better.

I’ve eaten at Taco Bell for over three decades, and I’ve never had a single time that I was given bad food. I walked in at about 6:05 PM on a Tuesday night, I was the only person at the counter, and it took several minutes for me to even be recognized, at which point the person who finally tried to take my order, didn’t know how to work the register. I went to the kiosk and ordered their on my own, and then I had to wait 20 minutes for three items. When I started eating my food, I thought I must have forgotten what I ordered, because all I could taste was maybe some kind of corn chip, lettuce, and guacamole. The tortilla was so hard that it cracked open, and the crunchiness was from that. I’ve never been served a hard, “soft” flour tortilla at Taco Bell. Turns out this was the seven layer burrito that I had ordered, but they were only three ingredients inside. It was disgusting. I thought I would just wrap that up and give it to the dogs later, and I moved onto my second item. Again, the tortilla was both cold and hard, and I couldn’t tell what that item was supposed to be, either. I ate a few bites, all of which were pretty gross, and then I gave up on the second item, too. I think it was supposed to be their chicken enchilada burrito. I thought for sure that they would not be able to screw up the most basic item on the Taco Bell menu: the classic bean burrito. I was wrong. I had two bites of that before I gave up. Another hard “soft shell“ tortilla, cheese that tasted questionable at best. I then thought to myself, “If the lobby was so cold that a very warm blooded person such as myself was uncomfortable (it was about 35° outside, but apparently no heat inside), there were about 10 employees in the kitchen, but only two seemed to actually be working, I had to wait 15 minutes or so for three items when I was the only person in the lobby, and when I finally did receive my food, it was all gross, how much do I trust the safety of this disgusting food?” Needless to say, I decided it was really foolish of me to have eaten as much as I did. I will never go back to that Taco Bell.

We did wait quite a while for food, but to be fair, the drive through was packed, we were the only people in the lobby.
The reason for the 1 star was the food quality. It was terrible. I was so excited for the throwback menu to come out, I absolutely love chili cheese burritos! So I ordered 2. Obviously they had gone up in price – they are 3 dollars now as opposed to $1 back in the day. But my Goodness, the burrito I received was flat as a pancake, when i used to bit in and have chili run out the bottom. What the heck Taco Bell? That is unacceptable. Burritos are not flat. I was so disappointed. I will definitely not go back to this location, unless they actually fill the burritos as they should.
The Carmel apple empanada was also noticeably smaller as well, but it was good.

Clean restaurant and good tasting food. It often takes a long time for a mobile order to be ready and there’s not a constant team member at the register so that can take some extra time also. Our recent order was unfortunately packaged in a way that tacos were squished at the bottom and upside down so things spilled out. But usually it’s good quality and we stop often.

Only can give a 1 star review but this taco bell needs nothing but a ZERO. Hadn’t been here in awhile because of crap food and poor experience and long drive thru wait. Decided to give them another try won’t make that mistake again my tacos where crushed and SOMEBODY DECIDED IT WOULD BE VERY CUTE TO SPIT YES SPIT ON 1 OF MY TACOS THAT IS DISTCUSTING!!!!! Honestly this place needs to be shut down next time I want taco bell which is not often I will just drive to the springs. And they do not know how to read when you do a customization to your order or maybe they just don’t care.

Negative and honestly confusing experience on National Taco day. The lobby door was locked at 6pm. Got in the drive-thru line and eventually got to order. I was informed that there were only 2 people working (which explained the locked lobby) and that there would be a 30 minute wait for food if I still wanted to order. Issue was there were now 2 vehicles behind me when I’m being given this warning, and it’s a drive-thru that’s impossible to turn out of. I had no choice but to order. Had I been able to I would have left.
To their credit it didn’t take 30 minutes, only 15-20. I genuinely felt bad for the two people there, they did their best given the circumstances. This was just kind of surprising considering it being National Taco day, I’d assume they’d plan on being busier than normal and would have made plans to account for that. I understand being stuck with just two people was probably unexpected. And it’s just not helpful to give people a warning that they may want to leave at a point when most people usually can’t leave.

How many times can you confirm NO SOUR CREAM and your meal comes out full of sour cream. Everything I ordered/paid for went straight in the trash.
More then an hour before closing and the fryer was turned off so most of the items we wanted were not available. The items we settled for were all wrong. No sauce in our bag SMH. The lady working was very nice though.

Please, I beseech you, go ANYWHERE else in this town. The service sucks, they don’t give you full portions on anything, the food is almost always cold. I have been going to this Taco Bell for almost 20 years and this is the last straw. Every time I come here lately I have to wait at least 45 minutes just to get through the drive through anymore, when I get here the line is 5 cars deep. I’ve seen cars jump the curb to get out of the drive thru because it’s taken so long. The interior’s nice since they renovated last year, I hope you enjoy modern minimalist Taco Bell because that’s what you’re gonna be staring at for the next HOUR while you wait for your food! I could get food from a sit down restaurant faster than the people here serve food, go to Mayflower or Fusion Japan and get some quality food for less wait time! They mess up our order so frequently so even after you’ve been waiting for an eternity, it’s wrong! If you’re as unlucky as I am I hope you saved your receipt and every wrapper because they’ve started asking for proof of missing items. They don’t even serve breakfast anymore, and on top of that the employees close whenever they feel like it! If you really want Taco Bell so bad go down to the location in Colorado Springs.

This is by far the worst Taco Bell I’ve ever been to. Both times I’ve been here the wait is astronomical. First time was a good 45 min. Had to back out of the drive thru. Why is there no one ever working? A GM or something needs to come in a do an overhaul of this place.
