Beyond her blatant dishonesty about the fryers being ‘automatically shut down’ (I know the equipment; they were turned off early to cut corners), the food I received was clearly prepared out of spite. I paid $7 for rock-hard, stale chalupas and $10 for a Cantina meal with sauceless tacos and a chunky, half-full cheese cup. My avocado wrap wasn’t even grilled. As an ex-employee, I know these items never should have passed a quality check; they were sent out as a personal middle finger to a paying customer.
When I called to address her disrespect at the window, Hailey personally attacked me, calling me a ‘miserable person’ who is ‘miserable every day of my life.’ She then explicitly stated she ‘wasn’t scared of corporate’ because ‘they won’t do anything about it’ and hung up on me.
It is a shame because the Tuesday night crew is phenomenal, but Hailey is a direct liability to this brand’s reputation.
