Okay, listen. We all know why we go to Taco Bell—it’s that specific, glorious, late-night craving, and the St. Joe location on Niles Road is usually the answer. It’s exactly what you expect, but with a few typical fast-food quirks you need to watch out for.
The Good: When they are on their game, this place hits the spot. My Cheesy Gordita Crunch or classic Beef Burrito is usually perfectly made, toasted just right, and actually warm. If you manage to catch them during an off-hour (like 2 PM on a Tuesday), you’ll zoom right through the drive-thru, and the staff is usually super friendly and quick. Seriously, I’ve had zero issues during those times.
The Not-So-Good: The moment it hits dinner rush (around 5-7 PM), strap in. I’ve definitely waited 15 minutes or more in that line, and that’s when the mistakes start happening. It’s like a coin flip whether my order is 100% right. They constantly forget my side of Nacho Cheese, or worse, skip the hot sauce packets I asked for, leaving me high and dry when I get home. Also, the food prep gets sloppy when they’re slammed—sometimes my Crunchwrap looks like it was assembled by a toddler.

I had a very disappointing experience at this Taco Bell location. First, I received the wrong order. When I called the store, a lady told me I could come back anytime to get the correct order for free and mentioned they keep a board where they write customer names for replacements.
A few weeks later, I went back as instructed, but the manager said there was no record of my name and refused to replace my order. No apology and no effort to resolve the issue. That’s unacceptable customer service.
On top of that, the food quality has been poor. The items are often slightly burned, and the quantity is noticeably less compared to the other two Taco Bell locations in the area. You pay the same price but get less food and lower quality.
Overall, this has been my worst Taco Bell experience. I would not recommend this location.

Toni was an awesome outstanding taco bell employee!!! She needs a raise, like yesterday!!! I’m serious!!
As a business owner myself, I would love to have exceptionally great employees like her! She brought out our food to us, (which normally they call the name on a tray) and was very friendly, unlike most employees in today’s world. She said, and I quote, “I treat our customers well here!”
That’s how every business should be, and she makes it a very comfortable place to be in and is the definition of excellence customer service!

Im very sad, im not even mad. I get mistakes happen but when every add and take off is right except the cheese and sour cream… you added cheese and sour cream when I asked to take it off and I didnt get to eat my food because were too far away to come back to replace it today. Thanks for ignoring my order… it made me sad when i really needed a pick me up.

I’m here right now. The only thing nice about this experience was the newly (already trashed) child exterior and fresh stick on wallpaper. Outside of that you can’t use cash, the kiosk machine doesn’t work, and after 10 minutes of waiting someone finally asked if I need help. The machine never set my order. This place already sucks but what do you expect at Taco Bell.
