I am very disappointed in my visit today. The employees were friendly enough for a drive thru, the typical “Your total is x, would you like any sauce?” The food, on the other hand. For two people, it cost 23.00 for two 5 layer burritos, a quesadilla, a taco, and two drinks. It’s already bad enough that the 5 layer burrito has skyrocketed to 5.00 each, which is 215% of what it cost 10 years ago. The worst part is I paid 5.00 for two bread burritos. No meat. No cheese. No sour cream. 10.00 for a couple of raw, doughy tortillas. The portion control and end bake quality of this location needs a STRONG reevaluation.

I am unfortunately traveling 700 miles by myself, at night time. I stopped in Adel, Georgia so that I could find my reading glasses and look at Google maps. I ran into use the restroom at Taco Bell and when I came out, I thought it would be best to grab something to eat for later (I’m keeping my stops to a minimum because I don’t feel safe). My phone was in the car, so I did not have access to the app and I did not know how to use the order screen. The female employee was out front, at a table and told me she couldn’t take my order because she was off the clock. I only saw two other employees, two guys, who were busy fixing orders. Look, I know it’s inconvenient to have to stop what you’re doing to go wait on somebody at the register who is not using the app. I get it. But I don’t know the area, I don’t know if this part of town is safe and I didn’t want to go back out to my car and rummage around in the floorboard to grab my phone -just to access the app- when I was already standing right there.
I was told that Adel was the safest area around (and maybe it was at Taco Bell, but by the time I got to the Family Dollar it was a different story) because as I was leaving, a sketchy looking guy rode up on a moped (or a lawn mower, I couldn’t tell) that had a tire that was almost flat. There was an Easter basket and big stuffed rabbit tied to the front. I know when I’m in a bad part of town… I’m just saying, someone could have taken my order at Taco Bell. I am already anxious, tired, and now I’m hungry.
Personally, I am tired of spending money at businesses who expect me to wait on myself. I don’t believe in giving food service employees a hard time because I have worked in food service.

They were doing their jobs and the girl that I spoke to was friendly enough.

The girl working the window was unbelievably rude. Her hair was completely down and super long, which already felt unhygienic, and on top of that she messed up our order multiple times. She forgot several items, and every single time we politely said, “Hey, you forgot this,” she rolled her eyes, tilted her head back, and literally stared at the ceiling like we were inconveniencing her for doing her job.

It was beyond unprofessional. Instead of apologizing, she acted annoyed and irritated that we even spoke up about the missing items. The attitude alone ruined the entire experience.

The service there was just as slow and careless. Everything felt rushed, disorganized, and honestly like nobody cared.

I’ve never felt so unwelcome as a customer. Between the mistakes and the nasty attitude, I will not be coming back. Train your staff better because this was embarrassing.

The value box now cost $9 which isn’t much of a value anymore. But it was delicious and our service was impeccable.

UPDATE:

There were four people in the restaurant and it took us 45 minutes to get our orders. One of them was the $5 box mail one of them was the $9 box meal. Neither of which came in a box. As you can see from the picture of our bag both of our box meals came in a bag with no box. You can’t get anyone to come to the counter anymore. I would say the service is absolutely horrible and I’m astonished how far downhill this Taco Bell has went in just a year. I can’t say that we’ll go back. It’s not worth the wait it’s not worth my time it’s not worth my money!

Ordered online and I was impressed that every single customization was 100% correct—the kitchen team is definitely on their game! However, the dining room needs some attention. The self-serve sauce bins had used packets tossed back in them, and several drink options were out. They were also out of forks. Great food, but the lobby maintenance could use a quick refresh.

I just left this restaurant 40 mins ago and had to pull over on the road and use my EpiPen. I asked for no tomatoes because I have a food allergy and when I bit my chalupa it was filled with them. I instantly spit it out but I started swelling up almost simultaneously. The service was great but I just wish the food didn’t almost cost me my life or a hospital visit.
