Reviews
I am writing this review because my most recent order was disgusting and definitely did not live up to the “quality control” that Taco Bell expects. I got a steak grilled cheese burrito and it looked like this (see attached photo). I would have taken it back if I hadn’t waited until I got home to open my food. No cheese in sight and the contents were covering the outside. The cherry on top was that there was more tortilla than actual filling. A burrito should not look like a rotting corpse. My friend got one that also looked like this.
I’ve worked in customer service most of my career, so I always try to be nice. So imagine my disappointment when I say thank you every time she handed me something and then closes the window on my face after everything. I get it, it’s 20 minute before close, and I don’t expect you to act like a ray of sunshine at 1am, but if you’re getting paid to engage with the customer, the least you could do is that.
Also, my expectations aren’t high at all for Taco Bell, but the bean burrito I got that night had SO MANY diced onions that I had to scoop out most of them. Like spoonfuls of it. It felt almost malicious because of the amount of onions in my burrito, lol. And the cheese wasn’t melted at all. Just a small complaint.
I’m not boycotting Taco Bell or anything, but I hope I don’t get that same girl again. I’m sure the service is much better during the day, but not everyone at night is a belligerent customer, guys. 🙁
Today pushed me over the edge – I ordered 4 items online about 10 minutes before getting there, but the workers, who were socializing at the time, only started preparing once they saw me arrive (empty restaurant, mind you). This took another 10 minutes of me waiting at the front counter as they kept talking. After I left, I noticed they forgot my chips and cheese. Thus, it took them about 20 minutes to prepare 3 items of the 4 I ordered.
Moving onto past experiences – I regularly notice their workers smoking outside during breaks. Nobody is at the front counter to take your order. If you’re ordering delivery for a group of people, there’s probably a 75% chance they forget at least one item. I’m not asking for restaurant-level service from middle-aged minimum wage workers, but the least they could do is take their job and customers seriously.
The food itself is pretty standard for Taco Bell, and honestly quite cheap if you order online.
