Went in opening day. The place was pretty busy but everything was working smoothly. Great food as always, friendly people, nice atmosphere. Been enjoying Evans food since he opened the Alton location, psyched to see him with a second location that’s open year round

First Taco of the season at the new Laconia location. Chicken and Buffalo chicken tacos were excellent as always.

Amazing tacos! The wife and I were looking for a place for food near the colonial theater. Accidentally found this gem

The food was great. I visited just days after they opened and on a Saturday night at 6:30 pm, the worst possible time. They were packed! It took 35 minutes to make my carry out order. This would not prevent me from returning. It’s a very plain interior as you can see from my photos. It’s very difficult to find as it’s pretty much tucked under the deplorable gross Laconia parking garage. Just across the street from the city hall.

Taco Bay is a surprisingly ambitious little gem nestled into the heart of downtown. With amazingly reasonable prices, delicious and unique tacos, a full bar! Table service. *chefs kiss* It immediately earned a place very high on the list of local eats. Give Taco Bay a try, you will not be disappointed!

What a great addition to downtown- especially being open till 9pm.

Favorites I’ve tried ranked from favorite to something I might mix up next time:
Carnitas
Smash burger
Pork belly
Barria

Food is delicious- decent portions. Will have to be back to try the margarita bar when we can dine in. Space is sparkling. Down the alley across from bootleggers.

The carnitas taco was my favorite.

Stopped by Taco Bay and loved it. The tuna tacos were awesome and the double chicken bowl was great too. Everything tasted fresh, good portions, and the place has a cool vibe. Nice new addition to the area.

The food and atmosphere here are genuinely fantastic. I had the steak taco, and the flavors were spot on—easily some of the best I’ve had. However, be prepared for a bit of a wait; it took about 20 minutes for a single taco during a quiet period. It’s also on the pricier side for the portion size, but the quality of the ingredients almost justifies the premium. Great for a slow, high-quality meal if you aren’t in a rush. Keeping in mind that they just opened, I’ll definitely come back soon to see if it was just an off-day as they get started

I had 3 tacos and they were all pretty good! I had the short rib-my fave, smash burger, and pork belly. The pork belly was a bit more on the rubbery/tough side, but still had great flavor. My partner had a carnitas burrito, and he found it very lacking. We ate in, and he didn’t even get a plate for his burrito, which would of helped since it was a very poorly wrapped burrito, he pretty much had to eat it out of the tin foil. He said it was his fault for not getting a taco at a place called taco bay.
Now the atmosphere is pretty terrible. There’s no decor and it falls very flat and cafeteria like. The majority of the paint on the walls is white, covering the beautiful woodwork that soda shoppe used to have. I’m hoping as they continue forward, that the dining area will also come together. The tables and chairs were metal, and our table wasn’t adjusted well to the floor and very rocky. Overall, good and I’d go again, probably only for take out. But there is for sure room for improvement!
I do recommend it!
It did seem that takeout orders were more important to them, but that’s probably something that will get worked out as they’re more adjusted.
We were given a wait time of 30 minutes, but had to wait 45.
