very much love the atmosphere. I went with my parents and they enjoyed the food a lot, and so did I. The agua de Tamarindo was amazing, it’s rare to have that water in restaurants so I was happy that they had my favorite drink, plus the torta combo was good as well and very filling.

The best tacos in the LaGrange/LaGrange Park/Brookfield area, hands down. We’ve really struggled to find a Mexican restaurant that serves dishes with actual flavor, and have been disappointed time after time. Our teenagers recommended this place to us and hot damn, they were right.

We tried six tacos: barbacoa, pastor, chicken, ribeye, cecina (marinated steak) and lengua (tongue). While a couple stood out as our favorites, every single one blasted any other restaurant taco we’ve tried to pieces.

Sorry other tacos restaurants, but you have some work to do. Taco Azteca is the gold standard.

WOW! Super fresh food, great service & affordable prices! Love the salsas that come with the fresh hot chips & they even give you a dip that’s very similar to guacamole. My favorite tacos are the fried fish tacos. Also enjoyed the chicken sopes. We got the beef nachos too which were good. Will definitely be going back often.

The aroma upon entering a restaurant is the best indicator of things to come and this is one of the best-smelling restaurants I’ve ever been to.

The interior is extremely clean and tastefully decorated with a perfect balance of natural and bright, lively colors.

My order of three tacos came with complementary chips and salse. The salsa was a picante (peppery) guacamole–a very nice upgrade from the usual red salsa. Lots of flavor.

The hot sauce condiments appear to be house-made and pack a serious bite. I’d say about a 4 out of 5 on the jalapeño scale. Go easy. The green sauce is nice and creamy. The red sauce is very potent and appears to be mostly puréed pepper.

I got tacos al pastor (my favorite kind). The flavor was good, though a bit less bold than most pastor recipes I’ve had.

5 stars for an overall excellent experience! ♥️

The food here is good. It’s a nice local spot with authentic Mexican food. I got the steak taco dinner which comes with rice and beans. The seasoning on the steak was great. These were the kind of tacos where you don’t need salsa to boost up the flavor. The meat was seasoned very well. They offer a mild green salsa and a hot red salsa. I got the green. It was still a little hot, but not to bad and it was pretty tasty. The tacos were topped with the traditional cilantro and onions. The steak tacos were near perfection. They didn’t hold back on the portioning of the meat either. Each taco had a generous amount of steak. I also got one carnitas taco. It was good, but not nearly as good as the steak. The rice and beans were flavorful. Nothing magical. Pretty standard, but good overall. The portioning of the beans was a bit skimpy. I wish they would have filled the small section on the container completely. However when I consider the overall value for what I received ($12.99 for the meal, no drink is included–at least not when getting it to go) I can’t really complain. All in all, it was good and I will go back when I am in the area.

Your classic taqueria with excellent chips and salsa that hit the table immediately ✅
Their lengua is delectable, perfectly seasoned and tender. Had it in tostada form, and it was lovely. The burritos are well made and delicious. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing!
We had delicious tacos and quesabirria. Homemade warm chips and guac salsa were complimentary and spectacular. Everything was authentic, fresh, and good quality. Clean and nicely decorated. Fast and over the top service! Family owned.

We love coming here. I rarely ever review, but I think it’s important to say when a neighborhood spot is fantastic and deserves a 5-star review. We love coming here. The tacos are amazing. Tonight we ordered dinner to go for four people and it was perfect when we got it home. The Al pastor is my personal favorite, but my husband and his brother really enjoyed the tripe and lengua. Thanks for being such a great local spot to grab tacos!
