I stumbled across Tacabron on my way home from downtown Forest Park. It looked interesting but I just had dinner so it made my want to go list. Fast forward a couple of months and my brother and I decided to give it a try. I had fish tacos and my brother got a steak burrito. The fish tacos were grilled tilapia with a hint of lime. They were so good I ordered a second order to take home and share with the husband. I have been back a few times since trying new things off the menu. Tonight our server greeted our table with chips and salsa; the salsa was so tasty we ordered some to go home. We had a steak quesadilla to share. The steak was tender and substantial. It was actual steak cooked medium and I think it was Oaxaca cheese, I highly recommend. I also had the enchilada dinner, this really brought me back to my trips to Mexico. I chose the green salsa as my stomach can not take spicy. You have a choice of steak, chicken, cheese, or Veggie ( grilled squash). I chose one of each steak, chicken, and Veggie. My dining friends both had burritoes chicken and the other asked if they could do the tilapia in a burritoes and they dud. Both were excellent. The interior is casual and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is BYOB. I still have much of their menu to explore.

Ordered an Al Pastor burrito with guacamole. Received a steak one with so little guacamole, I had to use my own avocado. Horchata so sugary, I put water in it. Very sad but true. $42 for 2 burrito dinners, 1 that should have been al pastor and 1 steak. Not right

My kids and I love the atmosphere, especially in the warmer weather and seating outside. The cashiers are always so personable and attentive. The food is good and reasonably priced. Only ever been to the forest park location!

Great Lengua tacos!! Red and green salsa was fire and I could tell that everything was authentic and made in house. I had a coffee, cinnamon and chocolate drink that was a great also.

Awful. This place is terrible. I don’t know how they survive. 2 tacos a Diet Coke can and 2 tablespoons of guacamole was $13.50. Look at my photo. The chicken tacos are awful. They didn’t put the onion and cilantro on it and its orange cubed breast meat. Gross. They charged me $4.99 for the small guacamole which is about 2 tablespoons. No chips. Never again. There is so much good Mexican in the area I should not have stopped her just because it was convenient.

Absolutely love Tacobron! Authentic Mexican cuisine with the friendliest staff. It’s BYOB these days, but would 1000% recommend the quesabirria dinner and the caramel churros the churros don’t come with sauce anymore, sadly, so definitely get a filled one

Fantastic little hole in the wall for forest park. The Torta was MASSIVE. Their salsa is incredible. Might be 20 ish bucks for a meal, but for most people you’re gonna have leftovers.

Update. 2nd visit. Had the taco plate. Chorizo, pastor and barbacoa all great. Cooked well, good flavor. A 3rd visit to try more of the menu and will probably be a 5 star review.

Tacabron is hit or miss with the steak tacos. There are some days the steak tacos are seasoned well & some days you are just eating bland tacos. The rice and beans are always consistent. The restaurant is always neat and tidy. A 3 steak taco dinner will cost you around 14 dollars & that’s a lunch special from 10am-3pm.

Finally tried the new taco place in town and was definitely satisfied with the results. I got a 3 goat tacos platter (no beans double rice) -cilantro and onions and my wife ordered a taco salad with chicken no tomato.
The restaurant was really clean and modern looking. You can tell they really care about their presentation.
The goat tacos were flavorful and moist, definitely brought me back to my Greek family goat roasts. Goat has it’s own flavor and Tacabron definitely used the natural flavor with the meat. I’m always worried about the tortillas being too greasy/oily tasting. The corn tortillas were great, exactly how you would want the tortillas to taste like.
My wife enjoyed her chicken taco salad. It had plenty of meat and the ingredients were really fresh.
Definitely making this my go-to taco place.
