Although my first order didn’t fully reflect how good this place is, I decided to give it another try after the response I received to my review and visited in person. I’m really glad I did. The communication was consistent, the customer service was truly outstanding (10/10). The food was amazing the butter chicken was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, and the naan was fresh, soft, and perfect for dipping into the sauce. Overall, it was a great experience, a must try!

Ordered Chicken 65 Biryani, creamy chicken, veg fried rice, and kadai paneer. Overall, very disappointing. The veg fried rice was extremely salty and basically inedible. The Chicken 65 in the biryani was rubbery, and the chicken quality didn’t feel good (visible excess fat). Most dishes lacked flavor.
The only decent part was the biryani rice itself. The naan was okay but tasted like store-bought rather than fresh.
I called the restaurant right away and they did refund $35, which I appreciate. Still, paying $83 for this quality of food was not worth it. Expected much better.

We ordered 1 mix veg korma and 1egg masala along with garlic and butter naan, we shared between 4 person.
Naan was fresh, warm and crispy. Gravy tasted really good.
I will visit here again as the non veg is certified Halal here so next time I will try some non veg food.
Will definitely recommend to visit here.
Place was neat and less crowded because we went off timing like 5 pm.

We recently ordered nearly 100+ servings from Taara Restaurant for both breakfast and lunch for our House warming ceremony and it was a hit! Our hearts were full when every guest came up to mention how absolutely delicious the food was. The Veg Biryani, Guthi Vankaya curry, and perfectly spiced Sambar were standouts. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented—highly recommend for any event!

Unexpected stop but very good experience. Must try Ghee Roast chicken biryani here which is very flavourful. My kids loved butter chicken so much. Service was quick. Thanks for the great food.

My experience at Taara’s is always splendid. The staff here go above and beyond in making sure that their customers feel right at home. The food is absolutely delicious, a rich, mixed blend from south India. Definitely recommend!

The place had a nice modern vibe. White wine was served warm when it should be served chilled. I choose white because I wanted a cold drink with my spicy food. We sat down around 4.15 PM and ordered right away because we were in a hurry and had to catch a theatre show after. Food didn’t come out until 5 PM which caused us to rush eating the food because we needed to be somewhere at 5.30 PM. The garlic naan was so delicious, the butter chicken was much spicier than other places, the tikka masala was greasier than I’ve had it at other places, the chicken was nice and juicy.
I’d enjoy this as takeout. The restaurant experience with the time it took and the wine being warm didn’t give this restaurant experience anything I’d want to come back to.

Great buffet experience! We visited for the weekend breakfast buffet and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The spread featured South Indian cuisine, with each item freshly prepared and generously served. Everything was flavorful and well-stocked, making it a delightful start to the day.

Indian restaurant with wide variety of item dishes, from North India to South India.
We tried soya chaap, momos and biryani during our trip to Ottawa, everything was delicious and freshly cooked.
Ambience is also quite warming with patio arrangement to enjoy summer sun.
Just parking is an issue as there are no clear sign boards, next to the restaurant there is space but it is not an actual parking, different to get in and out.

Very disappointed in this restaurant. Got takeout the other day and the food was terrible. For a place that describes itself as ‘Pan Indian’, absolutely everything was a South Indian flavour. We could taste nothing but curry leaves in absolutely everything. The quality of the meat was also very poor. Mostly bone, very little chicken. The butter chicken did not taste at all like butter chicken. And the chicken in the SPL biryani seemed like it was battered and fried, and was soggy. We basically threw out $80 worth of food; everything except the onion bahji and the breads. I will give credit for the naan. They were clearly using a fermented dough, and it tasted great. Almost like a sourdough naan.
