I believe this is one of Belleville’s best kept secrets, it’s tucked in next Mary browns and west side pizza. The food from the normal rice/ noodle with chicken and pork to the sushi is amazing and the potions are very good. Highly recommend.

Went for a late lunch, so it wasn’t busy. My friend and I were being a bit indecisive since we didn’t know what we felt like. That being said, staff were patient.

I got the vegetarian bento (sweet potato roll, avacato roll, seaweed salad, glass noodles, and miso soup). The food was fresh and tasty! The value was worth it because the sushi pieces were big!! You can tell the freshness of the avacato because it was really creamy!

I also got a Japanese drink to try “calpico” peach flavour. I liked it! It kind of tasted like a light peach yogurt drink.

Definitely worth coming back to next time I visit Belleville!!

New owners, new review. The restaurant now seems divided into your standard steamline North American Chinese buffet, and then numerous bowls that are advertised separately. I had the bidimbap which was very good. The other bowls also seem quite enticing and look fresh and are reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, the steamline fare is still (as with previous owners) mediocre at best; the chicken balls were about five percent meat, and the other meat we tried was grisly and bland. Stay away from the buffet I’d say. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

I had ordered the Honey Garlic Chicken, with vegetables, and Chop Suey, CHow Mein noodles. At first the chicken tasted good, the broccoli tasted like it got spit on. Until when I got close to the bottom of my plate / dish when EVERYTHING tasted like spit. My b/f suggested that was their sauce. . Too much of oil a/k/a “Spit” , and not enough flavor. No seasoning on veg. So it sat in Steam table too long. . So I am NOT ever going to go there, or even to reccommend it to anyone !

So disappointed, I never normally leave bad reviews… Just picked up “Vegetable lo mein “ which had no vegetables and noodles were dried up an flavourless. Salmon sashimi was thrown out because it was warm, slimy and falling apart so I was concerned that it had gone bad.

Good food. Minimal support for dine in as take out seems to be preferred. Small buffet but food is tasty. Will go there again.

This review is for Ta-Ke Kitchen which opened in March 2018 (not Queen’s Wok which used to be there before). It’s Japanese-Korean-Chinese food. I love their okonomiyaki – a savoury Japanese pancake made from umami batter, cabbage, ham and – I’m pretty sure – bonito flakes. Their take-out menu not only includes chicken fried rice with choice of entrees but also sushi rolls. Their spring and egg rolls are cabbage based, not bean sprouts based. The food tastes so refreshingly different from the usual ones you get in town. I aim to try everything in their menu.
The jjampong (spicy korean soup) is really tasty.

Some of the best sushi I’ve had in BC, Ontario, or QC.

Grateful for the chance to chat with the owner while waiting for our large order during a lull in the lunch rush. They ran a large and successful restaurant for years in Toronto before semi-retiring to Belleville to enjoy the quiet small town life. (And bringing their incredible skill and amazing food!)

This is also the favourite place for the family we were visiting in town to get typical “Chinese” food: (fried rice; chicken, beef, and shrimp dishes; spring rolls; etc.)

We ordered the following sushi, all of which was perfect and enjoyed by the experienced (and picky) sushi lovers, as well as those trying for the first time:
– Spicy Combo (spicy California roll, spicy crab roll, spicy salmon roll)
– House Roll (deep fried shrimp, cream cheese, salmon, crab meat, cucumber roll topped with extra salmon, avocado and fish roe)
– Avocado and Cucumber Roll
– Yam Tempura Roll
– Yam Green Dragon Roll (deep fried yams, topped with avocado)
