The service was efficient, polite, and inviting. As soon as the food was placed in front of me I couldn’t hold back. Everything I ordered looked GORGEOUS. Only downside was their a/c was trying extra hard to keep up, but I didn’t even notice it once I started eating.

In search of the nearest Taco Bueno to my location. I stumbled upon this Gem of an eatery. Small and unassuming from the street. But a Go-To when you are craving fun Mexican food that is not Generic Tex Mex. I got to chat with Chris the young and polite host/owner. He was so cool and welcoming. I felt like I was visiting a brother from another mother. The Food was fresh and savory, and our order was correct. The chicken and the beef in the quesadillas was really tender. The Birria sauce was not greasy. The enchilada had an authentic traditional flavor. The pricing is reasonable and affordable. We had Birria Taquitos,Quesadillas, and Kids Enchiladas for $40.00. I rarely give a 5-star rating!! But……this place earned it I highly recommend.

Always a good experience here. Been for breakfast lunch and dinner and enjoyed all three experiences. The staff is nice and accommodating. It’s an authentic Mexican style restaurant through and through with great flavor. The portion sizes are definitely more than enough. Most importantly it’s budget friendly. Definitely my favorite neighborhood spot for a quick bite to grab and go or for a nice quiet evening to dine in.

This is some of the best Mexican food in the area bar none. Chris is an excellent waiter. The food is outstanding. I had the Pambazo, this is the only place I’ve found it in Houston. My wife had the Quesabirria tacos, well filled and perfect amount of toppings. The salsas are on point.
Please give this place a try, we need to keep this mom and pop place open.

The food here was amazing. My new favorite go to restaurant for my breakfast tacos and birria tacos. Highly recommended. I haven’t tried the other dishes but I will on my next visit.
The food was well cooked. Not underdone or over cooked. The food hit just right. I didn’t eat in but the open space helps see the cooks make the magic happen. Always great to see how my food is being made.

I had not visited in a while. Upon arrival I was greeted with a big smile from a familiar waitress. Immediately I felt grateful knowing I was in the right spot! The food is outstanding and friendly service is better than anywhere else I have experienced. I’m happy to share my hard earned money at Ta Bueno.
