We visited ILMU today and had an incredible dining experience. We reserved in advance and ended up at one of their special, limited events (it sounds like they do these only a few times a month). It truly felt exclusive – not crowded at all, calm, and beautifully paced.
Chef Fairoz created a French tasting menu with 11 courses, and it was outstanding. Every dish was of the highest quality, thoughtfully composed with great balance, beautiful presentation, and a perfect progression from course to course.
The desserts were a highlight. The coconut panna cotta was absolutely amazing – paired with a curry-spiced element and a lemon-lime sorbet with basil, it was a total flavor explosion. We were also genuinely surprised by black truffle in a sweet dessert – bold, unexpected, and delicious.
The staff was fantastic: warm, attentive, and never intrusive. We also appreciated the transparency and team spirit – gratuity is shared evenly between the front-of-house and the kitchen. The atmosphere, music, and overall vibe were perfect. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend ILMU if you’re looking for a truly special dining experience.

Absolutely incredible bakery! I literally could not pick a favorite item. They are all completely perfect. I’ll say that the focaccia (their only savory offering) and the babka swirl are even better warmed up. The chocolate chunk soybean cookie has this awesome umami under the sweetness. The choux has the perfect texture. They also have a really tasty pandan matcha latte I was a little surprised not to see a single croissant offering, but maybe that was just the day that I visited.
I walked in right as they opened but there was a line after just a few minutes, even on a weekday, so get there early before they sell out!
I wish they had any seating available. It’s strange because they have a large seating area that they use for their weekend restaurant pop-up (which I will definitely be back to visit) but it’s roped off during the week for some reason.
But as far as the food goes, it can’t be beaten!

Hands down one of the best cinnamon rolls I’ve ever had!! Super soft, perfectly moist and not overly sweet. A beautiful little taste from this French bakery. So appreciated, Thank you!!

Almond chocolate cake, mango croissant and hojicha latte are good, but place is too small. Open up the seating area for guests, if not get rid of it so more people can wait inside and not outside. It’s a waste of space! Wish there was also more of a selection of pastries and more options of alt milk. Note whatevers on top of the mango croissant put that on the almond cake…just trust me and try it

T55 is definitely one of my fav bakeries spot! I can’t remember how many times I came here, just remembering every time I grab delicious food here! Honestly, I can’t tell if every bakery is my type but I can feel they served different style/taste bakeries to match different needs. SO YOU’LL FIND YOUR FAV HERE for sure! Haha and staffs here are so nice! Highly recommend this good place
BTW! Today I’m impressed by their focaccia. Surprised by being asked if I wanted more crispy, soft, or something in between. I chose soft, which was so soft with savory flavor (love it!). Will try other textures next time!

We went to try the pastries and we got a sample of all. Saturday around 11am the line was long but absolutely worth the wait. My family enjoyed every bite of all the pastries we were able to buy. The focaccia with truffle oil and cheese is definitely my favorite.
You can’t go wrong no matter what you order.
Everything is absolutely fresh and it is made to be consumed the same day. It is stunning to have such quality pastries in the heat of Bothell.
Service is slow but very friendly and in an uplifting mood. Thanks!

Stopped in bright and early this morning and couldn’t have asked for a better start to the day. Tried the blackberry financier, the goat cheese focaccia, and the Valrhona chocolate cookie—each one felt carefully crafted, with perfect balance and texture. The focaccia stood out most: layered with goat cheese, a touch of black truffle, and just the right hint of caramelized sweetness at the bottom. Being first meant we snagged the coveted corner piece . You know how sometimes long lines feel like hype? Not here. The wait is absolutely worth it, and we’ll be back again and again. (Focaccia not pictured- it got munched immediately.)

Great little café with good coffee and a small selection of pastries, including gluten-free options. No indoor seating, just a few outdoor chairs, but still a nice spot to grab a coffee.

The food was beautiful and tasted good. However, the wait was very long – around one hour, which made the food seem underwhelming in retrospect. The tart with mango on top was great! The chocolate part was crunchy, and the mango added a lot of sweetness. The apple brioche had Parmesan cheese on top, which made for an excellent sweet and salty combo. Unfortunately, the goat cheese focaccia tasted as if it were soaked in butter. It was wet to the touch. As far as the atmosphere, there is no place to eat inside, as the line wraps around the different shelves.

We have gotten pastries and coffee from T55 a couple of times and safe to say, the pastries here are amazing and so fresh. Our personal favorite is the choux which always leaves us wanting for more. The only downside is their lack of seating options inside and their limited hours of service. Wish they could bring in more seating options which would elevate our experience and also provide extended hours of service.
