I really enjoyed this spot. The owner/pitmaster and his mother were very friendly and welcoming which makes it even more worth supporting. The food was really good. I got the 2 meat plate with sausage/brisket, potato salad, and baked beans. The brisket was smoked perfectly and the bark was delicious. The brisket was a bit on the salty side for me to consider it perfection but it’s delicious none the less. Sausage was also great. It wasn’t as course ground as I prefer but it was spot on with flavor and smoke. I could eat the potato salad ever single day. The homemade pickles and pickled onions were a nice touch that you dont get many other places. All in all it was great and I’ll be back.

As a self-proclaimed well-traveled food enthusiast who’s sampled barbecue across the country and especially in Texas, where outstanding options abound, T.X. BBQ Co. ranks among the very best I’ve ever tasted. The brisket, pork ribs, jalapeño and cheese sausage were all exceptional. The prices are remarkably reasonable, too. Ron, the talented owner, pitmaster, and chef, shines not only with his meats but also with his exceptional homemade sides, flavorful barbecue sauces, and an unforgettable banana pudding. This gem is absolutely worth the detour to Holland, and we’ll definitely return the next time we’re in the area.

For sometime now as I’ve traveled down 95 I’ve seen the sign for bbq while I pass through holland. Tonight was the night my family decided to give it a try. And what a great decision that was. The father and daughter staff that took our order were patient and friendly. The indoor seating area was clean and well put together. Condiments were readily available, having clean bbq sauce bottles showed a level of care for the customer that I never thought about but also haven’t experienced at large chains. High chairs were available though we didn’t need them they were very clean. The variety of meats offered was delightfully surprising and both the all beef sausage I ordered and the brisket my wife ordered came quickly. The food it self was at a minimum on par if not exceeding the quality abd flavor of bbq you might find at a chain bbq restaurant for an extremely affordable price. The sides were generous and flavorful. Certain elements of the plate had a unique flair that was complementary and in my opinion showed a cultural flair of the central Texas area. The owner took time to check on us and ensure we enjoyed the food. We never made it to the out door seating area in the back so I cannot speak to that but from everything we experienced this is truly a central Texas gem and worth the trip for mouth watering small town Texas BBQ.
Family friendly. Inviting atmosphere. Delicious food. Affordable. Clean. Friendly.

I ordered a hot turkey that was supposed to be cooked and hot it was hot on the outside and cold and pink in the middle with a whole tub of pepper on the outside. The turkey was pink in the middle not cooked all the way through. We could not eat the turkey and I called today spoke to the manager and who was not interested in helping at all.

Growing up in Texas, I’ve had my fair share of BBQ, and this place has us coming back on a regular basis. The brisket is easily some of the best I’ve ever had: consistently cooked to perfection, moist, flavorful, smoky, and those crispy ends practically melt in your mouth.
The sauce isn’t what you’d traditionally find with Texas BBQ, but it absolutely works — a delicious, sweeter take rather than the usual savory, peppery profile. The sausage is excellent, ribs are just as impressive, and the homemade pickles are a standout favorite, far better than what you’ll find at most BBQ joints.
Don’t sleep on this place … it truly won’t disappoint.

This is the place to go. Me and my dad are from Oregon and we love brisket. I moved to Oregon and got a place to live with my husband whom lived here all his life. Best brisket ever, we were surprised by how much pepper went into it but regardless it was the best decision ever. My dad visited for only 5 days. 1 of those days he got here really late at night. Like 11pm. So really he’s been here for 4 days. We went 3 days out of the 4 days. We would have went another time but they happened to be closed. Awesome place, the cowboy behind the counter knows what he’s doing. Every time we went, last race was one. Respected that. Then the next time we went the football game was on with the Oregon team playing. Just happened to be on when we went in. Props to the timing again. Then the 3rd time the owner helped out with getting us brisket for dads trip back home. Wonderful place. Will be eating here in the future. So watch out. I’ll be there ready at 11am in the future! Loved their pulled pork and their sweet jalapeño sauce.

We just had this place for an office lunch, and WOW. Everything was phenomenal. The turkey was moist, the jalapeno and cheese sausage was super cheesy, and the brisket had a great bark on it.
Even the sides were a hit, especially the baked beans!
If you live in the area, I cannot recommend this place enough.
