Love this spot, I am so glad that there is a great breakfast spot with great vegan options in Edgewater! Their vegan egg is a little pricey, but worth every penny. They give nice size portions and always cook it perfectly.

So good!
We have been to Syrup before, but not this location. Sat in a bigger group, and everyone was extremely happy with their choices.
I loved the toffee latte, special during our visit. So yummy, and the right amount of sweet! For brunch, I went with gluten free pancakes (I know there can be some cross-contamination) with the Nutella and fruits (basically what you’d have at the French toast). My husband got the two eggs your way and was in love with the loaded tots.

Not really great on the food I got the Wisconsin and the bacon was chewy. The cheddar sauce seemed like it had broken. I did ask for crispy tots but they felt very very greasy and like possibly the oil had not been cleaned. The churro doughnuts were great. Also the Crack Bacon was delicious.

Had a really great breakfast here! The food was delicious, fresh, and came out quickly. The patio is a standout — spacious, comfortable, and perfect for a relaxing morning. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a chill spot to start your day!

It was my second time having brunch here the other day, and I was sadly disappointed by this experience. It was my friend’s birthday and we were a party of 6. We arrived shortly before 11am on a Saturday and were told it would be a 20 minute wait. Our entire party arrived by 11:05. As we were waiting, they sat two groups of 10 people (some of which had left the restaurant entirely and then came back) as well as a group of 4 that got there after us. Not once did anyone come to give us an update. We finally got sat after 45 minutes. I work in service, so I know that time and space management can be tricky, but you need to communicate what’s going on to the waiting customers. My group agreed that better problem solving skills could have been utilized.

After we were sat at an awkwardly placed table, the manager came to berate us for “sitting in the aisle.” She had placed 3 chairs on a side with enough space for only 2 chairs, and got mad when we moved one chair to the end cap instead. Why is it our fault that you placed the table so close to the aisle? We were able to scoot down. They didn’t bother to clean the space around the table, so I stepped on someone’s French fry on the ground.

The food was really good. The waitress forgot our drinks for about 20 minutes, but was otherwise okay. I may give this place another chance because I do really enjoy the food, but I hope the staff makes some improvements on time and space management.

They add multiple service sub-charges to the bill, so I’m never coming back. Just increase the menu price; anything else is just trying to catch me napping. Food is good, very expensive and the fees don’t help. One entree and a chocolate milk was $37 for me.

Syrup Edgewater offers a unique brunch experience. The restaurant is open and surrounded by windows, making the space bright and inviting. They do have a full bar, offering your favorite brunch cocktails. I had the Maryland Eggs Benedict with crab cakes. Service was attentive and friendly.

Overall experience is good. My favorite are churros donuts and cracker bacon. I didn’t like the waffle being too soggy. The breakfast sandwich is very good. I would recommend it

First time here. Disappointing. Arrived when the place was less than 5% full of guests. I had been exercising and asked to be seated outside. They told me I had to wait for my husband to arrive but I could sit at the bar. It’s their policy and they don’t deviate because then one might assume they can do that at any time (so they say). Customer service seems low on their priorities. I decided to stay and try out the food despite my frustration. I waited the 5 minutes for my husband to arrive while sitting stinky at their bar (hmmm?).

My husband had the burrito which he said he would not order.again. I thought the breakfast tacos were fine.

Hint: just ask for seating for one then act surprised when someone comes to join you

Can’t decide yet whether we will return. There is a point where rules become counter productive. I hear Jelly’s is a great breakfast place.
