Reviews
We have been to Syrup before, but not this location. Sat in a bigger group, and everyone was extremely happy with their choices.
I loved the toffee latte, special during our visit. So yummy, and the right amount of sweet! For brunch, I went with gluten free pancakes (I know there can be some cross-contamination) with the Nutella and fruits (basically what you’d have at the French toast). My husband got the two eggs your way and was in love with the loaded tots.
After we were sat at an awkwardly placed table, the manager came to berate us for “sitting in the aisle.” She had placed 3 chairs on a side with enough space for only 2 chairs, and got mad when we moved one chair to the end cap instead. Why is it our fault that you placed the table so close to the aisle? We were able to scoot down. They didn’t bother to clean the space around the table, so I stepped on someone’s French fry on the ground.
The food was really good. The waitress forgot our drinks for about 20 minutes, but was otherwise okay. I may give this place another chance because I do really enjoy the food, but I hope the staff makes some improvements on time and space management.
My husband had the burrito which he said he would not order.again. I thought the breakfast tacos were fine.
Hint: just ask for seating for one then act surprised when someone comes to join you
Can’t decide yet whether we will return. There is a point where rules become counter productive. I hear Jelly’s is a great breakfast place.
