This may be the most perfect buttermilk pancake I’ve ever had. It flavor so good, just plain, and tasted even better with their sweet cream syrup. I order a side scrambled egg, the portion was large and it was also cooked perfectly. The cappuccino was a real surprise. A huge cup for $4.75. Service was quick and friendly, thank you Emy L. All the other food l saw being served looked delicious, so I’m hoping to go back soon, but I know there is no way I’ll pass up ordering the pancakes.

Very modern atmosphere. We came when it was sunny and got a seat right by the window. The sun pouring onto our table was beautiful.
We ordered an orange juice for a drink and it tasted so fresh. We also got the chilaquiles, cluck cluck skillet, loaded potato cakes and the chicken fried chicken. Pancakes were slightly burnt but we fine. The chilaquiles was good but not awesome. The cluck cluck skillet was a lot of food making it hard to eat. The chicken fried chicken was superb and the potato cakes were fine.

Hey Everyone,
I had an opportunity to get out and try this great place for breakfast. My husband tried a lunch dish which was the Ream burger with the meat from their local meat market consisting of beef brisket and ground meat mixed together where even after being cooked (which was cooked well done perfectly) the size of the meat still kept its full patty handmade form! It’s called the Reams burger which I highly recommend it soul heartedly! He was sharing with me how it was one of the best burgers he has had since he was in Mississippi! He also stated “I haven’t had a good cheese burger that tasted so good in a long time”
Now, I wanted breakfast but instead of getting corned beef hash like I have been getting a few times here lately, I decided to get something totally different and I got the 5 egg omelette Mediterranean which consisted of Kalamata olives, red onions sliced, sautéed spinach, basil, feta cheeseand tomatoes with parmigiana where it was seasoned so well it raised my eyebrows brows and didn’t even grab the salt shaker. This place can be a dive to endure some wonderfulness for your taste buds and it is not a greasy feel diner but a clean and crisp feel in the atmosphere. As I was walking to the restroom I just had to ask if I could take two more added pictures of some delightful looking dishes and I want to thank them again for allowing me to do so! The service was great and I wish I could’ve high fives the cook because everything I saw looked so good as I was walking through this place! I was amazed to see their skillet dish which was served in a cast iron skillet! Not to mention, after you get done eating, it’s only 5 miles away from the Outlet Mall too, so, after you eat, you can walk/shop the calories off! I would definitely love to come back here in the future to try a lunch dish from their menu, so, to be continued….

I visited Syrup on Father’s Day 2025, and even though the restaurant was packed, it didn’t feel overwhelming at all. The atmosphere was lively but calm, no stress or chaos, just great energy. The staff was courteous, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, which really made the experience feel special. And the food? Absolutely amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and well worth the wait. This was my first time, but it definitely won’t be my last. Looking forward to returning soon!

This was my first time at Syrup, and I had a great experience. Laurette apologized about the internet server being down but assured my boyfriend & I we would be seated quickly, and we were. Our server, Emy, was very attentive, friendly, and brought our food quickly. I can’t say enough about how much I loved the strawberry basil limeade!! We will definitely be back.

I’ve gone to every syrup location in the Chicago suburbs. It’s always amazing when we go, this was my first time at this particular location though. Service was good, our waitress was excellent. Unfortunately most of the food was not what my wife & I were used to. The potatoes were wet, eggs were wet, the steak looked like a cheap thin gray Denny’s steak. I hyped it up to our family, so we all went this past weekend, and we were all unfortunately disappointed. Nobody really cared for their food and I hated that because I felt like it was not a true representation of how syrup usually is, especially at other locations. Very unfortunate and a waste of money.
