It is truly a gem in Wilson. Buffet only. Smallish in size but definitely enough choices and tastiest to keep you coming back. On the day I visited this is what I had. The vegetables were country seasoned. Green beans, potatoes, butterbeans, cabbage, and yams were tender but not mushy. The cream potatoes were smooth and not runny. It held the gravy from the hamburger steak. The mac and cheese was great with more cheese baked on top. The rice was xooked perfectly. The slaw was simple but very good. I would.want that slaw to go for some bbq sandwiches. They had pork chops, hamburger steaks so tender, chicken pastry,and different kinds of chicken (bbq, fried, baked). All were tender and and juicy. I think they had fish too but I was unsure. Desserts included warm banana pudding and peach cobbler, fresh cookies, and an oreo and ice cream dish. They only have tea or lemonade to drink and your drink is included in the price. Service was great. Everyone smiled and greeted you. The restaurant has that southern small town feel.

Local restaurant in Wilson. They serve Buffet Lunch but not sure about dinner. Plenty of sitting arrangements and food options too. I just tried veggie but it was really good. I liked the Boiled Corns and Hush Puppies. They serve deserts too. No complaints about service as well. Overall satisfactory experience.

Oh wow. I was so excited when I learned Sylvia had another location that you could sit down and eat in because I always had takeout. Today I decided to visit the location on Ward blvd to sit down and eat. I would rather contuine takeout. The food was not good compared to the other location on MLK BLVD. the service the same and the atmosphere as well. There was no music, the dinning area looked unfinished within the walls and the ceiling exposed woor and not sure what was black in the ceiling but there was structural damage for sure. the food was not good at all nothing like the takeout location. I thought both locations have the same owners and if so why not the same quality of food, service, and atmosphere?! Idk but I enjoy eating at Sylivas but I will continue going to MLK location in Wilson.

Everything was just perfect. Will absolutely return. I would have given 6 stars but they didnt have a wheelbarrow to roll my fat tail outta there after I ate all that good food.

This place is not worth the trip from Raleigh. If you eat this food one don’t know what GOOD is! It was $15 I should have burn! Awful food when one had the best. Please make a trip to Mccall’s in Goldsboro if you want excellent food. This was such a disappointment!

All you can eat homemade Southern style buffet with lemonade and tea, just like Grandma used to make. Relaxed dining environment, comfortable enough to kick your shoes off and take a nap after all that good old fashioned deliciousness. Banana pudding just like you remember. The REAL strawberry shortcake from scratch. We went in the afternoon so it wasn’t crowded but the later it got, more people started coming in. Price for buffet was good. Wait staff was on point; didn’t have to wait for refills and they came by like clockwork to make sure everything was great. Definitely going back.

This was an okay buffet restaurant. I’m not a fan of box mashed potatoes at all, but the hamburger and gravy were good. Potatoes are not expensive, only requires a little work in order to keep me as a customer.

Very quiet place to eat, great southern food. Food was the right temperature and seasoned just right. The staff was very friendly and cheerful. I will return.

I love their food. I would recommend them adding a little more flavor to the hamburger and gravy and mashed potatoes, other than that, really no complaints about anything that I grab to eat. I love the strawberry short cake. The sweet tea eliminator is always on point. The atmosphere is so, so it’s kind of tight at times And it can be a little frustrating to find your own table instead of being directed to one. So sometimes you feel like you’re left standing awkwardly in the middle of people eating and watching you, as you stand to look around for somewhere to sit. I do think maybe having the waitresses or hostess to sit us. Would be better, but I definitely say give it a try. They have a good variety of meats and sides.The buffet is not large, but the food is good.And you do have enough to choose from
