Came here for dinner on New Year’s Eve with our family. The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was how loud it was inside.

I brought my wife back here to show her where I worked 19 years ago. Gone are the days of white tablecloths and candle lit dinners. Now you are surrounded by dark fake stone walls and leather wrapped tables. At least the food would still be delicious, right? Strike two….the drunken chicken was appropriately named as you would need to be in order to think it tasted good. My wife’s disgrace of a chicken parm was paired with overcooked pasta topped with what tasted like unseasoned Prego sauce. To top it off, her side salad came with exactly 4 small pieces of lettuce, which made for a good laugh. We paid $6 for a boat of oil for our bread, something that used to come complimentary. Our waitress was the best part of our experience, but I’m embarrassed that I have recommended this place to others.

This is a great little Italian place that is just a small walk away from the TA. I am a truck driver, so proximity to a truck stop is a must. I’m on duty, so fresh ice tea for me.

When I walked in, the owner was buying a new brand of wine, which he was sampling with the salesman. That is a nice touch knowing the items on the menu are hand-picked. It is an indication of a good place with a single hometown owner. Then he went around talking with the customers, which is very old school awesome!

They have a wide selection of food from pasta to seafood to steak. I had the breaded chicken parm, which was delicious. I have a soft spot for pasta, so it hit the spot.

The bread was freshly baked, and the butter was so flavorful. It was probably the best bread I had all year! The bread was as many loafs as you can eat.

The staff was extremely friendly and made this old truck driver feel like I was at my hometown haunt, DuNunzios near Pittsburgh.

The atmosphere is old Italian cozy. I just walked in and grabbed a seat. There is a nice little bar with plenty of tables. Soft music plays from the speakers along with the usual TVs and boos.

Overall, it was a great experience! Thanks for making me feel at home away from home in Canton, Ohio!

The bill only came to 26 dollars! What a steal!

As much as I hate to give an establishment
A low rating when it’s a mom and pop shop…. I couldn’t resist …. Started off with Bruschetta and stuffed hot peppers with Italian sausage…. The bruschetta came out like a loaf of bread cut in half with the toppings on it which made it soggy …. Which it should’ve been on a baguette and or thinly sliced bread that was toasted to perfection to hold up to the toppings…. Instead it was extremely bland and focaccia style undercooked bread …. The peppers with Italian sausage … had no flavor and the sauce came out extremely watery that was on it … and of coarse bland as all can be …. For my main dish, I told the server that I want a mind blowing dish that will make me want to come back …. Didn’t care what it was … as long as it was authentic and cooked to perfection…. She selected, walleye with a light crust and honey mustard glaze along with green beans….. EVERYTHING was in need of salt and pepper….. beyond bland … which is a huge disappointment…. There is a difference when cooking with salt and pepper …. Rather than add it to a dish that has never been seasoned ….. it doesn’t taste the same …. Seasoning NEEDS to be cooked into the dish … that way it elevates it to the next level …. An on top of it …. Our server never checked up on us to see how things were nor to check on our empty drinks …. It would be one thing if it was the weekend or something…. But it was a Wednesday night with a half full restaurant…. No excuse…. So when we got our bill … which came to $150 for two people …. And I addressed my concerns…. Nothing was done to our bill or even a way to make up for the poor experience…. I was definitely not looking for a free meal by no means ….. just wanted it to be handled properly. In all honesty…. I will not be going back to this establishment!

Our ‘go to’ for all family celebrations. Sea bass special was delicious, other family members loved all the pepper appetizers as well as the mozzarella dish. Pork chops never disappoint. The drunken chicken was not a hit even though it had been in the past. Always enjoy the bread and friendly servers.

We were pleasantly surprised. All around service was excellent and they were extremely busy. My husband was so excited to be able to get oysters. We got the charcuterie board, and it was really good. My husband got the tortellini and loved it. The arrabiata sauce was very flavorful. I got a chicken dish that had a roasted red pepper cream sauce. I do not recall the name. It was subpar. The chicken was tough, and it lacked some flavor but was still good enough to eat. I don’t feel that in any way reflects the restaurant as a whole. Everything else was amazing. Our servers name was Laura. We will definitely be back. It’s very nice to have somewhere to go for good food that’s local.

So disappointing! After waiting for 30 mins our waitress told us they were out of veal, which we went there specifically for their veal parm. It was only 7:30pm. We ordered something else & waited another 30 mins to eat.The chicken was good but the sauce was (very) too tart, even for me.The side of pasta was harder than, I think, it should have been. I’ve wanted to have dinner at Sylvester’s for the past few yrs.& looking forward to it, only to be a disappointment. If you can’t provide food that is on your menu, then at least offer something complimentary to have your customers return to your restaurant.

My husband and I came in right at opening on a Saturday (3 p.m.). We were headed to the movies, so we chose to split an entree of linguine noodles, alfredo sauce and chicken. It came with bread and we paid $4 for an extra side salad. The bread, flavored butter, and pasta alfredo was excellent. Just for comparison, the pasta was in a shallow bowl that was much smaller than the size of a dinner plate. The chicken was a little bland, but cooked well. The side salad consisted of iceberg lettuce, a beet slice (not very good) and two rings of a red onion. I am not a fan of iceberg lettuce salads. Our total bill was almost $27 plus a tip. We drank water.

We had a 715 reservation and didn’t get our food until 9pm the food was good but the service was not for a party of 3. Yes they were steady busy but it look like plenty of staff.. some even sitting down. Will probably try again but not anytime soon.
