I stopped in after going by the place a few times. It was early Sunday and it was just me and another fellow.
My waitress was top-notch. Service was A-plus for sure. She probably should be at a finer dining establishment, honestly.
I ordered the corned beef and eggs… the Jimmy. It was solid enough. Came with either hash browns or home fries and I went with the latter. Had white toast and an extra order of sourdough toast.
Filling dish. Eggs, over easy, we’re cooked as ordered. Wish there was a bit more corned beef hash, but they fill the plate with the potatoes.
Coffee was surprisingly delicious. Took a to-go cup on the way out.

Very chill and friendly atmosphere here, and fast service. No wait on a Sunday afternoon, which was awesome. My husband enjoyed the gyro wrap and the Lebanese menu a lot too, so this was a unique find!

Whatever you order is going to be cooked within an inch of its life, courtesy of Chef Torch. It’s still better than average, but just barely. The service is much better than average, with a wait staff who know what they’re doing. The atmosphere could be better, but it’s generally reasonably quiet with adult customers. I’d recommend the Sylvania Diner to anyone.

I wanted to like this place. But after leaving, I felt a little hoodwinked. The food was okay. Nothing that really stood above diner dishes. Perch was a poor value. Two small pieces for nearly $17. They did not tell me that toppings on cheesecake was additional. And a service charge to use my debit. I’m not comfortable returning.
