I had such a great experience at Swiss Chalet Bakery. Everything in the bakery was incredibly fresh, and you can really taste the quality in their pastries. The flavors were rich without being overly sweet, and you can tell everything is made with a lot of care.

The highlight for me was getting to go behind the scenes and see how everything is baked. Watching the team work and learning a bit about their process made the experience so much more special. It’s not every day you get to see the craft and passion that goes into making pastries like that.

Everyone there was welcoming and clearly takes pride in what they do. Between the fresh pastries and the fun behind-the-scenes experience, it was such a memorable visit. I’ll definitely be coming back (probably way too often ). If you’re anywhere near Morristown, this place is absolutely worth stopping by.

Swiss chalet bakery and cafe was truly amazing. A hidden HALAL gem. The food was exceptional and quick, the burger and fries were handmade which was very unique from other food places. Also the desert menu was really huge, carrot cake was great but the custom cakes that you can get were beautiful and exceptional. Everything was made in house and the owner was nice enough to give us a tour, facility is super clean and everyone is so nice. Will be back again!

A longtime standing bakery which has been a favourite in the Montclair area for ages has fully gone zabiha halal, which is a plus! All of their favourite desserts, which use the original recipes from over 60 years ago are just as wonderful as we’ve always remembered them to be, but now have the added incentive of them using zero-proof liquors to ensure their lroduct is as accessible to the masses as possible. They donate all the leftover bakes at the end of the day to shelters and halfway houses, bake fresh breads for the churches on Sundays, bake special breads for all Jewish holidays, and have Ramadan cookies in stock right now and are opening up for suhoor Saturdays as Sundays from 12-5 AM for the Muslims.
THIS is what community is about, and this is what New Jersey is about! So proud to be a customer and supporter of a businesses that dedicates themselves so fully to their community. And their rainbow cookies are my absolute favourite!

Not sure why the employee thought putting a mini cupcake on a huge plate was ok. But the worst part.. I asked is the almond croissant filled, she said yes. I ordered it and asked if she can heat it. She did. I guess she doesnt understand how to heat a pastry, it needs only 10 seconds ESPECIALLY IF IT HAS A FILLING. She came back maybe 2 minutes later. That croissant was like fire and so was the plate and it was paper. You have to eat the croissant before it gets chewy then hard. But the filling was like eating pieces of the sun. I wasted my money. I had to throw most of it out. But here is a video of the microwaved leftover almond croissROCK. Teach your staff how to properly heat pastries. The cupcake was a mini brick. I will never go back.

I had the chance to go behind the scenes at Swiss Chalet Bakery and it made me appreciate them even more. You can truly see the care and dedication that goes into everything they make from the freshness of the ingredients to the beautiful presentation everything is done with intention and quality in mind. What really stands out is that everything is 100% halal which makes it such a reliable spot for the community especially during Ramadan. Their bakery items and food menu are perfect for iftar and suhoor. The atmosphere is welcoming the staff is kind and the flavors speak for themselves. Definitely a place you need to visit if you haven’t already.

Came here for food around 2:00 AM and was seriously impressed. Service was super fast (especially for that time of night) and everything came out fresh and hot.
We ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich (crispy with a nice kick), the Special Roast Beef (off-menu and SO worth it—tender and flavorful), and a BLT—and yes, the bacon is halal, which is a game-changer.
Great late-night spot with lots of variety and 100% halal peace of mind. Would definitely come back.

The service was stellar and the pastries delicious!! We asked for recommendations and they suggested we try their mini chocolate mousse cake with raspberry or pistachio filling. They were both amazing and perfectly balanced (not too sweet, fabulous texture). We are addicted!

Mediocre textures, slightly stale pastries. Totally not worth the calories. About same as getting grocery store pastries. Better bakeries in town. Just a cheap sugar rush. Coffee mediocre as well. Service was good. Very clean and spacious. Not much ambiance.

Swiss Chalet Bakery gave us an incredible donation for our Muslim Students Association(MSA) Iftar Night. Many families had the joy of eating many different desserts donated by Swiss Chalet. The cupcakes were genuinely the best cupcakes I have ever had and were beautifully designed. As someone who was trying to get donations from places, I was outmost grateful since out of 20 places across the Morris County, Swiss Chalet’s kindness in their service was the only one that helped us out.

3/1 – I’m editing this review because they did eventually call me. Now I don’t know if I didn’t get this message in time, maybe it was a phone glitch on my end so I’ll assume that it was just an error. I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt if possible but I would still give yourself plenty of time to get in touch with this Bakery as it seems to get very busy.**

My wife likes this place, so I wanted to get her a birthday cake. I followed the online info, called the number. left a message (because no one ever answers) and I got no reply. I sent an email. No reply. Called again. no reply. I guess they do well enough to ignore some people, but I am not a fan of that. The cakes were good from what I remember, but at least call back or email and say no thank you, we dont want to make you a cake.
