Love ordering online for all the specials they offer through the app. Ordering 2 meals with dark and white meat with mashed potatoes as a side & a bun. When we go back to the hotel with our order we noticed we had no utensils, butter and our mashed potatoes were just thrown into the chicken. Quite difficult eating mashed potatoes and gravy with your fingers. Dry bun with no butter and the smallest gravy sauce ever. Chicken tasted good.

We dine at Swiss Chalet frequently but our last dining experience was terrible. We arrived at 4:00 but didn’t get our food until 4:30. One section was open and one server was managing approximately 8-10 tables. We cannot fault the server for being slow but management needs to take a look at their staffing levels. Clearly another server was definitely needed.
We did see other staff in and out of the dining room who could have assisted the one lone server. At least help her by bringing plates to the waiting tables.
To top it off the food was not great. It felt like we were eating leftovers from the lunch crowd.
* we had to ask for cutlery
* my salad was small, lettuce did not seem fresh
* dipping sauce wasn’t hot, luke warm at best
* ribs were cold, sent the entire meal back to warm it up
* take out container barely held our leftovers…splurge and give us a proper size box
* had to ask for finger bowls, we got one bowl for 2 people
* the table behind us said they never got finger bowls
Overall 1/10…this location needs to step it up…we do not feel the need to rush back…very disappointed with the service and quality of the food.

I had a wonderful dine-in brunch experience at Swiss Chalet Sarnia. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared—comforting yet satisfying, exactly what you want for brunch. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, making it a great place to enjoy a calm and pleasant meal. What truly made the experience stand out was the service. Our server, Jaya, was absolutely amazing, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. She made sure everything was just right and added a personal touch that made us feel valued as guests. Overall, a great combination of delicious food, cozy ambiance, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be coming back.

I came in with my grandpa this past Sunday, I just wanted to comment on our server Tayah, as she made our experience amazing. She was so bubbly and enjoyable to chat with. We were served super fast and the food was amazing. Would love to come back just for the same experience. It’s really people like her who can make a difference in your day. We will 1000% be coming back again.

Love the food of course. The only thing we don’t like is…each time I go in its mostly elderly people and the music choice is for younger people.
Well I thought I would add to this review after being there for quite awhile today. Sorry to say but your waitresses were working way too hard and it took a long time to get service all through our time there. Not fair to them because they were trying so hard to please everyone. Food took a long time to come from kitchen. Everyone around us was not to happy either and all felt sad for waitress, she was trying so hard to please everyone but couldn’t. The waiting coming in, the waiting for food and again waiting to pay. You need more staff. Last time we came was the same thing. After being there today we went to visit friends and told them we were at Swiss chalet and they said the same thing, takes to long at this Swiss chalet in sarnia they won’t go back. Heard it from other people as well.
I’d love to come back but we shall see on 3rd time around if better service. Waitress was great and we felt bad for them.

We got takeout on the way to our hotel. When we got to the hotel we discovered there was no cutlery. No salt or pepper. No butter for the rolls or baked potatoes. The food was good as usual, SC is usually consistent with their food no matter which one you stop at.

But our poor waitress Christine was looking after at least 10 tables
BY HERSELF! Oh, and trying to train a new girl as well! This girl deserves a raise! Plus the Hostess was bussing the tables as well as looking after the front counter! Obviously there was a staffing problem. Busy nights with Christmas coming the Manager needs to do a better job at managing! Five stars for the waitress, zero for Management!
