Very disappointed in what they’ve fallen to. I ordered an Irish Nachos on 2/11 and found a very long hair baked into my food. When I attempted to call the restaurant to complain and try to get a refund, there was absolutely no answer on the telephone line. Highly disappointing because I absolutely love their Irish Nachos when they’re cooked correctly. I was also missing my child’s cake pops in their orders that I paid extra for. Do not know if I will be returning as a customer or not.

Wow! We stopped in on our way through Albany. Great atmosphere and food. We loved listening to the local folks visit at the bar and we were made to feel like family. We had the Thanksgiving sandwich and it was amazing! The fries were on point and the waitress suggested dipping fries in the gravy. Great idea! This is a great stop.

Swifty’s Restaurant & Pub, with its three upstate New York locations, promises a warm and welcoming atmosphere- my experience at their Albany spot was pretty cool – always great to have Friendly staff!
Mozzarella Sticks: These were the real stars of the meal—crispy, gooey, and downright awesome.
Kids’ Menu: Swifty’s nailed it here. The little ones were happy campers with their tasty options. ‍ ‍ ‍
Unfortunately, the shepherd’s pie leaned a bit too far into the sweet territory for my liking.
Would I return? Maybe, but mainly for some cold brews rather than the food.

My girlfriend and I have eaten at both the Delaware Ave and Everett Rd Swifty’s a few times a year for the past five years. In all, they’ve been very good experiences – until now (Sunday, Nov 30th, 2025). I ordered a house burger “medium”, my girlfriend ordered a Turkey Reuben with Cole Slaw instead of Sauerkraut. The first thing that I noticed after our food was served was that the burger patty was perfectly round and about 1/4″ thick. Not a hand-formed burger like all of our previous visits. When I bit into the sandwich I found that the burger was well-done and, even worse, had a texture of pressed cardboard. Yes, at times I’ve been so poor that I’ve eaten pressed cardboard. That’s how I know what it tastes like.

My girlfriend took a bite of her Reuben and had an unpleasant look on her face. When she opened the sandwich she found that the cabbage in the slaw was brown and limp – not green and crisp as it should be.

I understand that Swifty’s is going through some financial hard times for not paying all of their taxes for the past 9 years. The State has seized their properties and all 3 locations (two in Albany County and one in Oneida County (Utica) are now closed temporarily. If they do reopen, I hope that they get their kitchen act back together otherwise they might lose their restaurant clientele. Myself, there a plenty of other options in the area and I won’t chance spending another $50 to test their wares again.

Before you enter, there’s this smell of beer. The vibe is very older adult.
The service was slow. I had the greeter/server to wipe the table. There was a used napkin in one of the seats at our table. The drinks taste like mocktails…very disappointing. The food took some time to come out. They bar was full, but the rest of the restaurant was completely empty inside and outdoor patio. The servers were pleasant but far from attentive. The wings we selected were their signature dry rub. The wings were over seasoned, and the flavor was a combination of sugar and season all. The fries were saturated with oil like the oil wasn’t hot enough when they were put in.

1st visit-out of beers listed on menu, not updated for season (?). Caesar salad with salmon was drenched in dressing.
2nd visit-still no updated beer list. Out of Irish nachos (in an Irish bar) but offered to substitute French fries-waitress said they were the same potatoes. Mozzarella sticks were plopped down with the Disclaimer that they are out of Melba sauce, could barely eat 2 with some kind of dark oily marinara.

No complaints. Me and the fiancé stopped in for a drink and some wings. It was mostly elderly folks, but they were very lively people having fun. I enjoyed everything. Will be returning.

Had a great time. Drinks were amazing! Our food order came out a bit mixed up and when I looked around for my waitress she noticed me looking and immediately came over. She then went right to the kitchen and waited for what we needed bringing it right back out. My tater tots were a bit too salty for my taste, but everything else was amazing. Will definetly go back!!
