Sticky toffee pudding was lovely.
Waitresses in $900 Zimmermann dresses and great people watching in the immaculately setting. You’re paying for the privilege of sitting there and to be served well. Though I wouldn’t say our server was at all experienced very sweet though.
Worth it for a one off. Probs won’t be back.
First off the waiter started abruptly after drink orders and asked curtly are we ready to order without welcoming us or talking about the specials. They took our plates halfway through appetizers not realizing we weren’t done with the fluke crudo so they had to get new plates and silverware . I asked for the drink menu when entrees came and then they never came back to get my drink order. They delivered the drinks and desserts to the wrong people.
None of this is catastrophic and we had a lovely time but the misses and lack of training and coordination at this price point are shocking.
On the food side, I highly recommend the pork tomahawk and the fluke crude as well as the sticky toffee pudding.
Overall, best meal i had in the Hamtpons and i ate at Nick and Tonis, and their Mexican place Coche in Amagansett (get the Tres Leches cake there – best desert i had all week ). Hey Swifty team – poach that tres leches cake LOL. The Hamptons have gone off the rails for price but honestly Swiftys was the most memorable meal i had and same price as all the others
I am giving them two stars – 1 for the ambiance and 1 because they attempted to correct mistakes, although no compensation was ever offered (free drink or desert, something off the bill, etc.) and the corrections often took multiple attempts.
Issues:
1. Their “world famous” artichoke was hard and not steamed properly. Got it right on the 2nd try.
2. Burrata, Prosciutto, Melon Salad was sent out without Prosciutto. Disappeared back into the kitchen, had to remind them a second time to get it back out.
3. Asked for ice and lemon with our water. Took 3 separate requests to get it.
4. Took 2 requests and 30 minutes to get our coffee.
5. Was told the only potatoes we could get were french fries but then the eggs came out with home fries.
6. Was told only eggs they were making were scrambled when asked for 2 fried eggs. Seems strange as benedict was on the menu but even more so as a general concept for a brunch restaurant.
7. Not our table but a woman sitting at another tabled warned us that she had been waiting for her food for an hour when we sat down. The restaurant was not crowded.
All that being said, the place looks great. it would take A LOT to give it a second chance.
I expected a lot more from this brand. The food was nothing special, especially for the high prices. The atmosphere didn’t help—the crowd was sleepy, and the vibe was off, with a TV randomly playing an MMA fight (not exactly the right ambiance). Overall, a lackluster experience that didn’t justify the cost. Won’t be rushing back.
