I’ve been going here since they’ve opened. It is my #1 go-to coffee stop! The bagels are amazing. The drinks are always so good. The staff and manager are the nicest & a big reason I keep coming back.

This is a gem in Grand Forks. They just opened December 2023. I am so happy they opened up the second location as the other one is on Demers. What does this place not have? Tanaeya and
Hannah (manager) were great.
Let me list everything that I love about this place:
1. Great creative unique yummy drinks including Frappuccinos
2. Lots of seating and power stations plus USB
3. A quite conference type room w TV and board games
4. Pint glasses, shot glasses, growlers, Tshirts, bags, stickers, coffees
4. Desserts
5. Sandwiches on bagels, croissants, pretzel bread
6. Beautiful with original art hanging all over and especially local artists with very nice scenes of Grand Forks (they are for sale)
7. Free Wi-Fi
8. A Drive-through
9. Free and plenty of parking
10. Free bathrooms that are clean
11. Seamless connection to Edgewood, which is an assisted living facility so the resident and their family members and visitors can walk indoors to this café easily especially when it’s cold (it’s very nice older person who might be in wheelchairs or walking with canes to be able to go to a nice and cool store to sit down and have coffee and a snack and then be able to go in a few steps on the ground level without having to drive or take a wheelchair taxi)
12. Plenty of staff to help you and who are friendly
13. Condiments and napkins
14. A fireplace that adds to the coziness
15. Excellent hours from 6 AM – 9 PM 7 days/week
16. A points reward system that you can sign up easily just through your cell phone in three seconds
can get something before work and after work
Need I say more? It is a no-brainer for me to enjoy this place for breakfast sandwiches and savory and sugary drinks. Thank you for being here.
There are two things I was not as happy about:
1. The Music was way too loud so it was hurting my ears and it was hard to talk to my friend or concentrate on reading my book
2. I bought so many things in one day (on my first day ever visiting on 4/21/24) and I was not aware of the point system because if I were aware, I would have liked to to sign up right away when I first bought $29 worth of food and drinks in the morning. And then throughout the day I kept buying more drinks and pint glasses as gifts so I racked up lots of points. But I asked to get credit for the $29 worth of items but they said I couldn’t get back points. I was disappointed bc it would have been nice.

First time in and it was fantastic. The servers were friendly and very pleasant to talk with. The drink menu is mind blowing, the variety puts everyone else to shame. From the hot to cold drinks, there’s something for everyone, lots of international flavors as well. The seating area is very warm and inviting. The fireplace and the art work adds a charm to the area. Glad you are here, I’ll be back. JAN 20th, great service once more. New menu items so they are keeping it fresh. I enjoyed the Thai tea, great flavor and not overly sweet. APR 6th, the fresh fruit teas are flavorable and refreshing, I recommend the raspberry or mango. The staff is always friendly and smiling, so it’s an inviting place to stop on for something different.

had a really amazing experience with AJ, they were able to suggest iced options for drinks when I wanted something cold but with a lot of flavor and caffeine. Excellent first experience with Sweetwaters!

Daughter and I stopped in during their opening week. It is in a good location with plenty of parking. It is attached to Edgewood (via a walkway) for those that might be directionally challenged.
The interior is nice and clean with plenty of seating. There is a back patio, for when the weather is nicer for folks to enjoy.

If you are in Grand Forks, I would highly recommend stopping both here or Urban Stampede for coffee. If you are searching for both coffee and food then Sweet Waters is by far the best! Nepali Brew is my absolute favorite, but their lattes, and cold brews are just as good. I also am an organic naturalist, so I don’t usually go to places unless the ingredients are at least half good for me, and this is my go to at least twice a week if I have the funds. People on the reviews say, oh, the co-workers aren’t communicative. People, communication isn’t intended when you are buying products. If I don’t like the product, then I will address my concerns to management. I have been in the shoes of a barista, and they have enough to do then be your server and greeter, just saying! If you are looking for community, then go to the park or go join a sporting event.

I love this coffee shop that is attached to an elder facility. Great idea. I take my 4 year Grandaughter here and it’s a special place.

My partner and I were very excited to have the opportunity to visit our newest nearby coffee house. We were sure this was going to become our new go-to place. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The signage on the way in indicated that it was locally owned. The beverage and light-eats menus both looked great. What went wrong you ask? Both of us walked in and walked up to the display counter and began studying the menu. Meanwhile the three employees behind the counter did everything humanly possible to avoid eye contact and acted as if we weren’t even there. As we stood glancing and speaking of the delicious-sounding drinks listed on the menu an employee who was presumably working the drive-thru window as well as the register, took a stance at the register at the counter as if she was ready to take our order. Mind you, she was still very obviously doing her very best to avoid having any engagement with us, verbally or even the slightest glance our way. As we were standing there for over three minutes alone, no one in front of us, no one behind us, just two people obviously coming in to the establishment for the first time (this was indicated by what we were saying to one another) WE WERE COMPLETELY IGNORE.
I don’t expect exceptional service or ever ask for anything out of the ordinary, but when a new business opens and they have three people (in uniform and presumingly working behind the counter) I do expect to be greeted at one point. I find this business to have the very worst customer interface I have ever encountered in Grand Forks. It’s almost as if they recruited their staff from some snobby west coast location to plague the MidWest with their nasty attitude and incompetence. So my friends, if you have been driving by, like me on a daily basis, and looking for the opportunity to stop in to check out our newest “locally owned” coffee shop…KEEP ON DRIVING.

I just had a hazelnut beignet and a winter blossom tea, but I enjoyed both. However, the service was excellent. Management has found some gems here. Hold onto them! They were efficient and patient as we perused the extensive drink menu. I also liked the art on the walls. It’s not a cozy cafe, though. Nice for a meeting. Maybe when it warms up outside, the patio will come alive. I’ll definitely be back to find out.
