My friend and I arrived just after 4pm on Thursday afternoon and were seated immediately. There were not many guests at the time so we had our choice of inside or out. Our server, Janet, promptly greeted us with napkins and menus. She was very helpful in helping us choose our beverages and our appetizer. My friend ordered the mango margarita, which she loved and I order two glasses of the house red wine. We both enjoyed our drinks and the blue crab & shrimp fritters that we ordered. That sauce was so good! As we left around 6, we noticed that the restaurant had filled up but our server Janet had remained attentive even though we didn’t order much. Good experience for sure.

We went to dinner at this restaurant, new to me, the atmosphere is very pleasant. The attention of all the staff is polite, friendly and careful. We waited a little to be able to get in… but it was worth it. The taste of the food and desserts is really delicious. Ample parking lot. I’m sure we’ll be back. Although the hamburger that my daughter ordered… was a bit raw… the manager (very attentive and cordial) immediately solved the problem for us. 100% recommended. The whole experience was excellent!

Sweetwater has great American fare! My personal favorite is the warm goat cheese salad. I am not a salad person, but I CRAVE this salad. My husband loves their burger. We also always get the southwest rolls. House brewed beer is great! Corn chowder was good as well. Newly added was their peanut butter pie, so rich and yummy! Rich enough to share.

What a great find! In town for business and a fellow coworker suggested Sweetwater based on the beer selection. Food menu items match the beer menu on the same scale, 5 out of 5! Limited by a coworker with a seafood/shelfish allergy for apps that was accommodated with no problems, we found enough appetizers to keep the group happy. Service was quick and accurate. Honestly, can’t wait to go back for some seafood apps!

I booked an accommodation here for a group of 8 for my grandmothers birthday. Since the seating arrangements are mostly booths, I was notified our party may be split but luckily we ended up in booths adjacent to each other. I arrived after my party ordered. The food was good, definitely consistent with the Great American Restaurant brand. The host and waitstaff were friendly. I ordered the market fish, which was grouper served over cheesy polenta and topped with arugula. Super fresh, great flavor, just wish there was a little more to the meal. Would definitely recommend this place for a group, as there are options for everybody. Everyone seemed happy with what they ordered.

The food was decent for the price, although I did have one issue. I ordered the 5 Star® Reserve Prime Rib steak for $48 dollars, but unfortunately it was not as thick as I remembered it. (pretty thin and too much fat). Despite this, the overall dining experience was satisfactory.

When I travel to Virginia, coming to sweetwater is a must. The western atmosphere is perfect and the staff are always warm and welcoming. Everything on the menu tastes great and traditional prime rib is the best I’ve had so far!
