Ohhh this one deserves a slow clap.
Sweets & Savories in Poulsbo understood the assignment.
I stopped in and ordered the creamy beet and apple soup and listen, this is not a “beets are controversial” situation. This is silky, slightly sweet, perfectly balanced, soul-warming goodness. Earthy without tasting like you’re hugging a root cellar. The apple brightens it up just enough, and the creaminess ties it all together like a cozy scarf you didn’t know you needed. Add the fresh bread and butter on the side and suddenly I’m rethinking all my life choices that didn’t involve this soup sooner.
And then there was my favorite companion: a matcha oat milk latte with orange zest. Clean, smooth matcha flavor, creamy oat milk, and that little citrus pop from the orange zest? Chef’s kiss. It’s the kind of drink that makes you pause mid-sip and stare thoughtfully out a window like you’re in an indie film set in the Pacific Northwest. ☕
Everything about this meal felt intentional, comforting, and quietly elevated. No fuss. Just really good food made with care. If you’re in Poulsbo and want something that feels nourishing and indulgent without being heavy: this is your spot.
I’ll be back. Repeatedly. Probably in the same outfit.

I come here for lunch almost every week and the food is consistently good. This week I ordered a pecan rum pie and vegan gluten-free pumpkin tart and both were delicious. The baker managed to create a buttery like crust on the vegan tart and the pumpkin was so creamy and fresh. My sis in law said she almost didn’t believe it was vegan.

This place is a gem. The owner is charming and amazing at what she does, as is kitchen and staff. The food is delicious no matter what you’re into. You would be missing out if you didn’t come in for a chomp.

They made a couple cakes for my son-in-law’s birthday. They were amazing and very reasonably priced for the quality.

My friend and I ate lunch here today and the food was delicious! I had a hash with cooked veggies, salad greens and added avocado, an Amricano with cream and a gluten free peach/blueberry pastry (I don’t remember what it was called – it started with a K). They were all perfect! My friend had a fresh tomatoe sourdough sandwich and a gluten free apricot cookie which she thoroughly enjoyed as well. I believe my hash was supposed to come with an egg, but I forgot about it until long after I’d eaten. The food was tasty and the staff was friendly but the tables and bar space are very limited. However, we do plan to eat there again. I wish I’d photographed our beautiful food before it disappeared!

The best breakfast sandwich in the county! Earlier today I stopped by the S And S on Viking and ordered a fresh made bialy, which is a more savory bagel, with avocado and a wonderful sauce. It simply rocked. For ten Dollars, a great deal. Flavorful and unique. Highly flavorful.

We wandered in for lunch while our car was in the shop. My husband enjoyed chicken mushroom soup with crispy cheesy bread. I had the veggie hash with an egg in top. GF apricot oat cookies and chai lattes.
Staff was welcoming and informative. It was obvious that our meals were prepared with care. Clean and efficient dining space.
Very pleased to have found healthy, tasty GF fare.

Reminiscent of East Coast culinary brilliants like The Silver Palette and The Barefoot Contessa, Eileen’s savory foods especially, are so so good. An ever changing menu keeps it always interesting! I pair with an Earl Grey iced tea year round, but the Dark Forest Latte is also a must all fall and winter long…

We first encountered these pastries at the Poulsbo farmers market and were obsessed! We travel full time and make a habit of stopping into local bakeries across the country, and this one stood out to such a degree that we made sure to visit the brick and mortar store 6 months later when we returned to the area. Absolutely delicious food & delightful folks!
