First visit this morning. Cute shop, fairly busy for an early Sunday morning (before 8am). Heated spinach pastry, fritter, & coffee were all quuite good. Girl behind counter was friendly & polite, & place looks clean inside. Will go back when in the area!

Small language barrier but exceptional service. Bought a few croissants, kolaches and a spinach thing. From fresh hot to sitting on the shelf for a bit, taste was great. Prices are a little bit more

Cheerful people keeping us alive in the mornings when we can’t catch breakfast at home. The coffee is wonderful. There are lots of kolaches and breakfast sandwiches, as well as very good donuts.
Freezing today and that brought a crowd,
Again, the coffee is the best.
Still the go to for coffee and donuts
Huge crowd for the bike race, but the car lane worked quickly.
Very friendly here. Both the servers and the regulars.

Totally worth the drive from New braunfels to get breakfast. I take river road for a nice scenic drive to get my awesome kolaches. Staff is friendly and helpful, inside seating and some porch seating outside. Great place.!!!

3/8/25 – HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
WORTH THE STOP IF YOU’RE TRAVELING OR CAMPING IN THE AREA & NEED A TREAT!
FIRST TIME IN SWEETIES DONUT SHOP, CANYON LAKE, TX AND I BOUGHT STRAWBERRY-FILLED DONUT THAT WAS THE MOST LIGHT & FLUFFY DONUT I’VE EVER TASTED IN MY “LIFE TIME”; IT WAS SO GOOD! AND THE PRICE WAS ONLY $1.30; SO REASONABLE. THE STORE HAS THE SMALL-TOWN VIBE TO MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE HOME. THEY MAKE KOLACHES ALSO (SAUSAGE IN BISCUIT) THAT I MUST TRY NEXT….LOOKED SO APPETIZING! CHEAP & DELICIOUS FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH, OR MIDNIGHT SNACK! YUMMY!

My family enjoys coming here to get a donut before school every once and a while. The donuts are always delicious and the atmosphere has that small town feel but always busy in the morning. The staff is nice. And for me personally, they have the BEST apple fritters hands down, it’s my favorite donut. Highly recommend Sweeties donuts.

I have tried this place off and on. Each time has been a disappointment. Service is adequate even though they make me feel like I’m inconveniencing them.
My issue is the product and prices. Example: I purchased one apple fritter and two regular glazed donuts, which came out to $9. Pricey for three donuts but would have been fine if not how terrible the donuts were. Besides the donuts getting SO much smaller, at least half of each donut was soaked in oil. Needless to say, I had to throw them away and I’ll never be going there again.

We have been having coffee and baked goods at this location for a few years and have been content. Nothing gourmet but certainly adequate. This morning my coffee was poured from the very bottom of the pot. It was acidic and bitter. When I asked the waitress if she could replace it she said I would have to pay for a second time. I had only consumed two sips and the cup was still full. My husband ordered a fritter and it was stale: he threw away most of it, which is very rare for him. Not sure what was going on but this is not the Sweetie’s we are used to. Very disappointing. Rude staff, bad coffee, stale food..not a good combination.
