We visited Sweeties for lunch on a Thursday. Easy to get in line and pick out what we wanted. We had the special which was a sliced turkey sandwich with a side, I chose cornbread dressing and a chopped brisket sandwich with macaroni and cheese. Both sides were very good. We also got banana pudding and peach cobbler for dessert. The turkey was very juicy and the buns are very good. The brisket was good and flavorful as well. Plenty of meat on the sandwiches. We had to ask for barbecue sauce to be put on the sandwiches, I’m not sure if they assumed we were dining in, but we got it to go. The banana pudding was delicious but I would personally skip over the peach cobbler.
Would visit again and try their other offerings.

This is the BEST BBQ restaurant I have eaten at in my ENTIRE 67 years of living! I grew up with southern cuisine and BBQ and Sweetie’s Bar-B-Q & Blues does it right EVERY time I’ve eaten there!
I implore you to make the trip to experience this beautiful food, wonderful service and pure love that exudes from the owners. It is beyond comparison.

Being from Maine, I don’t come across authentic bbq often.
This was easily and by FAR the best bbq I’ve ever had! Super friendly staff too.

I had a great time at this local BBQ restaurant! The service is fast, the food is great, and the blues music keeps coming! I had the ribs plate with two sides. The food came quickly, it was prepared well, and had lots of flavor. The music played on the loudspeakers was a great variety of blues artists. Very clean and comfortable space. I had an enjoyable time and plan to go back!

Food was awesome with generous portion, staff were very courteous & helpful (they played with my toddler, no complain about cleaning his mess too), prices were very reasonable, place was clean. We ordered the loaded fries with brisket, chicken & sausage gumbo, and bread pudding. All excellent I’d give an extra star

the service and the food are top tier, but boss of this establishment from which I seen/overheard each time I’ve entered this establishment, the way he treats his employees are unbelievably rude and blatantly disrespectful I’ve seen him jokingly flirt with his female employees which in my opinion I see as very disrespectful. Overall the service was a 10/10 from the staff as well the food but the way the boss interacts with employees automatically makes it an overall 0

Second turn-around trip to Natchitoches in a two-month period. Really had a taste for Mayeaux’s romaloude sauce. Best I’ve tasted since the Freeman and Harris days of the 1980’s! Headed to the bricks on Front Street!
But then I saw someone come out of the white building on the corner of Keyser and Williams(I think I have that right)…right off The Riverfront District… and I saw a name I had never visited but had seen and passed by last trip: Sweetie’s Barbeque. Hmmm. I know the romaloude sauce is perfect! But let me try this barbeque. Delicious!
Brisket was tender and juicy. Full of flavor. Sausage was the same. An array of sides. I chose cornbread dressing because that’s not something you can get everyday everywhere. And smothered green beans. Same reason. Both met Sunday Dinner standard. Could tell time and care went into preparation. And peach cobbler. Great crust. Something was added that my taste buds couldn’t identify but it was very tasty. Seemed to be homemade or a careful buy. Not too sweet!
Special thanks and hats off to Jazmin who had to make an executive decision when I rolled up to order at the pick-up window. I explained to her I was from out of town and this was my first visit to the restaurant and she saw that I was hot and tired ( a trip I could have made without breaking a sweat years ago )!
Got my meal in record time and went down to that beautiful Natchitoches riverfront to enjoy my lunch! Great food. People busily enjoying themselves. Running. Boating. Fishing. Just sitting. Amid those beautiful flowers and that eye-catching wrought-iron fencing! Perfect!
Sweetie’s Barbeque: Where you can get a snack, sandwich or salad, or Sunday Dinner 5 days per week!
