This cute little spot was exactly what you want on a cold day. The space feels warm and inviting, and the service was absolutely outstanding.
We tried a mix of savory and sweet dishes, starting with the roti canai and veggie spring rolls – both were incredibly delicious.
For dessert, we finished with the mango loft toast, which was so good. Not overly sweet, with a really nice balance of flavors.
To drink, we ordered a jasmine tea and a strawberry matcha. The tea was solid, but the strawberry matcha (modified without the syrup) really stood out – perfectly balanced and not too sweet, with great strawberry flavor from their house-made sauce.
Overall, I’d absolutely come back to keep exploring the rest of the menu!

As a longtime fan of the Silver Spring location, I was HYPED when I found out they’d be opening a location here in Bethesda, and everything is just as delicious as it is at the original. I’ve been 3 times to the Bethesda location now and tried all kinds of dishes, as well as brought friends who have all agreed that the food, drinks, and dessert are amazing. The ambiance is great too- super cute Christmas decorations and a cozy spot to work or catch up with friends! Super spacious with lots of seating.
Some dishes I recommend are the Eggplant Panko Kaprow, the Thai Style Rotis, and the lychee cheesecake. Can’t go wrong with those, but all my other pictured dishes were great picks as well. My only critique is that the amount of rice they give you is strangely small- I’m not sure why the portions of actual food are so solid while the rice bowls are almost comically small.
The food does take time to come out so don’t come in a hurry, but it’s well worth the wait for everything made fresh and it’s their soft opening this month anyway so very understandable that things take time. I will be back again and again and highly recommend anyone in town to stop by and try it out!
Edit: Came again on 01/31/2026 and the amount of rice was increased to a much more reasonable size! The service is still very slow and a bit awkward, so hopefully that all resolves by the time they have their grand opening.

One of my favorite cafes in the area. My wife got the strawberry matcha and it is THE BEST matcha we’ve had ever. The dirty Thai was amazing too. And the sparkling lychee drink is refreshing . We had small plates this visits and we recommend the dumplings, fries, and the creme brulee croissant is incredible. The staff is very nice and the menu has something for everyone. Highly recommended!

Grateful they were opened during the snow closure. Got some panko eggplant kaprow and massamun curry to go with their Thai tea pandan float for a total of $49. Really good Thai-fusion flavoring, reminded me of when I visited Thailand. The spice level is delicious in the eggplant and the portion sizes are reasonably priced. Service was very nice and it’s conveniently located downtown Bethesda by the metro station.
Highly recommend, grab a drink and a quick bite here!

Went for the grand opening and the staff were all very friendly. My only complaint was that my mango slush didn’t have as much mango flavor in it as I’d hoped but the free mango sticky rice promo was really good. Interested in trying other food and desserts in the future!

I visited Sweeteria Cafe Bethesda on their soft opening, and really liked it. The food is very good and fresh. They serve breakfast, brunch, and dinner, with cakes, bakery items, sandwiches, and a variety of drinks. They also have Thai dishes like Khao Man Gai and Shrimp Makham, which are delicious.
The staff are friendly, the café is cozy, and it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the Bethesda Metro. I would definitely come back.
