They’re not open long during the week (11am-2pm) so you’ll have to get there around lunch time. Facing the road and front of the building, cars were parked but the front door was locked 5 minutes before 11am. Walked around the side and there was a line of people waiting for the restaurant to open. Wait time for receiving food if waiting at time of opening was about 20 min so it’s probably best to come after 12pm; at least this particular day, the outdoor line was gone and you’d be inside maybe 5 min before receiving the order. The food overall was pretty good. Collard green texture is slightly firm to whomever’s liking. Macaroni, fat back, mashed potatoes, steak, dressing, and biscuits were good. There are a variety of desserts. Peach Cobbler was preferred over the banana pudding although it was good as well. The staff is welcoming and the younger girls were great at waitressing.

We were looking for a new hometown restaurant after our favorite place closed, and Sweet T’s was a great find. The food was excellent and the service was solid. The dining area is a bit tight, but that’s only because it stays busy for good reason. We’ll be back. This might be our new regular spot.

If you haven’t tried this little quaint restaurant in Thompson, Georgia, then I would definitely recommend that you do so. The food is awesome and the staff is very friendly. On the day that I visited, I had the country fried steak with gravy, along with broccoli and rice casserole and green beans, along with a corn muffin. The food was very good and had a delicious flavor and was hot and fresh. For dessert, You have to try the peach cobbler. It is awesome. In fact, you’ll probably want seconds on the peach cobbler!!! Service was friendly and attentive. This is one of those little hidden southern gem restaurants that’s a little off of the beaten path that you just absolutely have to try. I promise that you will not be disappointed.

Ladies Book Club trip to stay in the Yurts in Thomson GA & found this local gem. Amazing home cooking & southern hospitality. Buffet style food open Mon-Fri 11-2. Lunch special was a meat, 2 sides, bread & a drink for $11. Huge portions & amazing dessert choices as well. We went multiple times. You won’t regret a meal here.

Sweet T’s has the best country cookin’/soul food within 100 miles. I work throughout the area and always enjoy it when I stop by for lunch. My favorite meat is the baked chicken which is always tender and full of flavor.
Get there before 11 to avoid the line. After that, you’ll be standing out the door for a bit. Service at the food bar is slow but friendly. Table service for drinks and condiments is prompt and friendly.
When people ask for a good place to eat in the area Sweet T’s is the top of my list!

This is my second time dining here. As my family and I were pulling in, people were already lining up at the door. Only a few people were let in at a time. Not sure why, guessing they were taking precautions to keep patrons safe? Totally understandable and appreciated. The first time I went here it was buffet style. This time, you were served-fine. The ambience is friendly, funny (many cute good related signs around the restaurant) and bustling. If you’re an Elvis fan, you’ll love this place, his photos are adorned on every wall space throughout the establishment.
I ordered my usual down home comfort meal-fried chicken? Mack and cheese, dressing and yams. I tasted my cousins fried fish-yummy!
The fried chicken was on point unfortunately, the Mac and cheese fell short of southern cooking standards. It was a bit watery and lacked flavor. The yams were a bit dry but had some flavor. The dressing was ok. I’m a New Yorker, this is what I would expect from Northern cooks not cooks from the south. Aside from those 3 things, I would recommend eating here. If you are a connoisseur of those 3 dishes, I suggest you stay away from them. And the deviled eggs. They were a bit on the dry side too. Hoping today was just an off day. Last time I ate here EVERYTHING WAS DEELISH!
One other important thing I failed to include…the owners are absolutely PHENOMENAL about responding to their customers reviews. I appreciate how they acknowledge feedback constructively. This is the kind of establishment I want to do business with. I feel my voice is heard, my opinion respected and we can work together.

This is a Mom and Pop type restaurant. The employees are very nice. Their food is delicious! I had salmon croquettes, fatback, dressing, cabbage, cornbread, and sweet tea. Everything was cooked and seasoned well. The parking lot is not huge but they have parking. There is a descent amount of space to eat inside of the restaurant. The prices are very good. I will definitely visit this restaurant again!

Cozy atmosphere. My husband and were traveling for work, he is a paramedic, and I am a emt. We know where not to come back to.. I felt out of place and could tell something was off.. the young lady that was serving tea.. was so rude, she served every table that had white occupants their refills, not us.my last time ever going their.. we made sure to let our co workers know of the underhanded prejudices.. We could’ve eaten anywhere and gotten better service. The chicken tasted like the grease was old.. the collard greens had too many stems which made them tough and bitter tasting. The hash brown casserole was hot. The peach cobbler had 1 peach sliced in half lost in a whole lotta bread dough. It’s just a no for me.
