Sweet Treet is an established breakfast/lunch spot in Kingston. Early bird(all day) 2 eggs, bacon, cottage fries, toast and coffee for $7 is my go to. French toast, pancakes, breakfast burrito are equally good. The ladies that work there are super friendly and always busy. It can get packed, especially on wknds. Lunch has burgers, chili(well reviewed) and wraps…..all are good. Excellent prices and friendly service keep this place busy and well reviewed. My only gripe is the coffee is very average.

Sweet Treat: A Wilkes-Barre Breakfast Gem

Sweet Treat is more than just a breakfast spot; it’s a local institution beloved by many in Kingston and Wilks-barre.
This no-frills eatery offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere and a menu that’s simple yet satisfying.
The friendly and hardworking staff make you feel right at home as soon as you walk in.
The restaurant’s decor is a unique blend of homey comfort and sports memorabilia, with a particular focus on the Pittsburgh Steelers. It’s clear that Sweet Treat is more than just a place to eat – it’s a gathering spot for the community.
While parking can be a bit of a challenge, it’s well worth the effort. The menu focuses on breakfast classics like eggs, pancakes, and their award-winning cottage fries, which are rumored to be addictive thanks to their homemade seasoned salt.
If you’re looking for a hearty, delicious breakfast in a friendly atmosphere, Sweet Treat is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared to share your table with fellow fans and maybe even strike up a conversation with a local.

I cannot recommend this place. We were served awful coffee and asked for just one minute to look at the menu. The server vanished and left us sitting there for 15 minutes. We made eye contact several times and even explicitly called out ‘excuse me,’ but were completely ignored. We ended up leaving cash on the table for the bad coffee and walking out. A total waste of time and money.

Sweet Treet has been my go-to restaurant since childhood, and it still holds a special place in my heart. The food and service remain consistently excellent, while the updated atmosphere enhances the overall experience. It’s heartwarming to see a new generation enjoying it as much as I always have.

I never knew of Sweet Treet until someone recommended it for a good, quick breakfast. It’s on the corner of Market St. and Wyoming Ave. (Route 11) in Kingston and basically across from the Walgreen’s. I’ve only eaten breakfast here, but it’s a good deal. You get two eggs, cottage fries and toast for a fair price. You can add bacon and a drink for a few dollars more. The owner makes his own hot sauce and salt, and both of them taste great on the cottage fries. The hot sauce has great flavor and a little bit of heat.

It’s a cash only establishment and is open to the early afternoon. I don’t want to post hours should they change in the future.

The one thing I will recommend is not going if you’re not a Pittsburgh Steelers’ fan. The walls are loaded with memorabilia. I’m a fan, so it’s all good to me!
