We tried the tom yum soup and the appetizer platter at Sweet Thai and everything was absolutely delicious. The tom yum soup was perfectly balanced, bright, flavorful, and comforting with just the right amount of heat. The appetizer platter was a standout: crispy, fresh, and great for sharing, with a nice variety of textures and flavors paired with tasty dipping sauces.

The only downside is that it’s a bit on the pricey side for the portion sizes, but the quality and flavor definitely deliver. Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for really good Thai food and don’t mind spending a little extra for it. Would definitely order these again.

My friend and I stopped by for a late lunch, and we were immediately charmed by the cozy, welcoming vibe. It’s exactly what you’d hope for in a family-owned spot—friendly service, relaxed atmosphere, and a real sense of care. The server was incredibly sweet, too!

But let’s talk about the star of the show: the moo ping! Yes—authentic Thai grilled pork skewers. I’ve tried so many places across the States, and nothing has come close to the flavor and texture of the real thing from Thailand… until now. If you’ve ever had moo ping with sticky rice in Thailand, you know what “done right” tastes like—and this place nails it.

This was such a gem to find and I will definitely be back! The service was amazing and very friendly, the waitress helping us decide between dishes. The food was very tasty and fair for the price of the portions. I would highly recommend!

Best red curry and pad Thai we have ever had! The crab Rangoons were delicious too. Cute sit down area with table service or get it to go. Highly recommend this place we will be back!

Wish I there were more stars to give.

I had the Red Lime soda, Crab Rangoon, and vegetable mango rice. It was amazing. The veggies were not over cooked. It was well balanced and I would eat it again in a heartbeat. No crumb was spared.

Food was so amazing, good prices, and a very kind, cheery server. We got two drinks, an appetizer, a small soup, a large soup, and a noodle dish all under $60! Drunken noodles were amazing, and the server was so happy to explain everything to us. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back 🙂

We visited Sweet Thai on opening day around 5 PM and were instantly impressed. The restaurant filled within minutes, and while there were a few expected delays, the food more than made up for it.

The chive dumplings were crispy, flavorful little cubes with a delicious dipping sauce — unique and addictive. The Khao Soi blew us away with its rich, savory broth and perfectly cooked chicken (a whole leg, no less). The Kra Prao Moo Krob had crispy pork belly, crunchy green beans, and bold umami flavor we couldn’t get enough of.

The drinks — butterfly pea lemonade and especially the ginger beer — were incredibly fresh, the ginger beer being one of the best we’ve ever had.

Opening-day bumps are to be expected, but Sweet Thai is clearly serving up something special. We’ll happily wait for food this flavorful anytime.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, even offering recommendations based on spice tolerance. Prices were reasonable, and portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming. Im highly recommended “ Sweet Thai Platter”!!!!

We ordered some takeout for dinner the other night; some Pumpkin Curry, Orange Chicken, Chive Dumplings and Spring Rolls. The Dumplings and Spring Rolls were just fine, but the chicken was rubbery and tasteless, and the curry which was supposed to be mild, was so spicy it was barely edible. Overall very dissappointed in our food, we ended up chucking the leftovers because it just wasn’t very good. The restaurant looked pretty cute and cozy, but we won’t be going back.

Hands-down, the best Thai food I had in Maine and I’ve been to at least seven different ones. The food is so delicious. First time I Did pick up I just left now for a date. The food was so good.
