Today i went to this charming tea house with my daughter and granddaughter for her 6th birthday. We had a great experience, the old victorian house is charming and decorated beautifully a very feminine feel to the home . There are several rooms and our table was waiting for us with Happy Birthday banner and a special happy birthday girl pin for my granddaughter! We were seated and promptly served delicious warm scones and delicious peach ice tea and then our tea cups began to with the first of many different types of tea , we were served a wonderful quiche and tea cup of broccoli cheese soup, then a 3 layer plate tower was brought out to our table where we had several desserts on tonext two layers were our different types of sandwiches perfect sized and then we all sang happy birthday and my granddaughter was given a brownie in a cup with ice cream on top it was perfect ! The owner and her daughter served us all and explained everything we were getting and she and her daughter were excellent hosts very sweet and gracious, when we went to leave she told my granddaughter to pick out one of her stuffed animals to take home !!! I would recommend this establishment for any small group looking for a special occasion!!!

Sweet Tea Cafe is located in a historic home in DeLand. Loretta is the owner/operator and an amazing hostess. During the week she runs the kitchen and dining room herself, but you would never know. You almost feel there are two of her, as she offers a variety of teas throughout your experience, and this truly is a delightful experience. The food is delicious. A great experience!

The porch, interior rooms, and walkways are Instagram Worthy. Our food was delicious and the service lovingly personal. The owner and her children worked so hard to serve a bustling crowd! We had no idea it would be such a popular place! The rotating tea service was unique and we enjoyed every cup. Such a great selection of flavors. There is a small shop at checkout with Fortnum and Mason Teas, which are very high quality. Those were the teas we tasted during our afternoon tea service. Everything was lovely.

I Came to the Sweet Tea Cafe with my best friend for my Birthday, we had a wonderful personal experience with giving me an “Happy Birthday” card and with extremely hospitable staff, with a comfy and comfortable feel. Our reservation was at 1:30 and stayed until about 3:00, Ms. Loretta took our pictures, and sang happy birthday, she was so extremely kind and made us feel at home. I will definitely be coming back here often! What a lovely experience!

It was absolutely wonderful. We had a 12 party of church members that went with us. All women and there was so much different tea to drink. And so many desserts that were brought out we had. My mom and I visited and had a lovely time. Loretta was warm, attentive, welcoming and you can tell she was meant to have this business. We had iced tea, lavender, and apple spice teas and three others were available to try as well. The quiche, soup, scones, and sandwiches were heavenly. The desserts were airy and so flavorful. Such a job well done!

So stinking cute. For only being open 8 weeks, they did a great job. The food was good and they were super accommodating to dietary needs at the last minute(my fault for not telling them). The house was so lovely decorated. The only thing I would would say is they need to work on the presentation/neatness of the food when it comes out. I would have love to have my own tea pot of choice tea to fill my cup as I finish my cup, rather than waiting for someone to come around. However, the variety of teas was a great selection. We definitely go back.
