We take lots of time preparing good food at our Jefferson City restaurant so you don’t have to spend your time waiting for it.
Our BBQ meats are smoked low and slow and are all fresh daily.
We also believe in fast, friendly service so you’ll find our menu written on the wall and we’ll take your order at the counter. The line moves quickly!
Sweet Smoke caters parties and events of all sizes, too! Tell us your catering needs. The chef will not disappoint.

Fantastic food! Possibly the best in Jefferson City! Everything was temperature appropriate for serving.
The mac n cheese had a tang added to it that I’ve never tried before and it knocked the taste out of the park.
The French fries were warm, salty, and crispy.
The service was great, and the employees walk around during service to make sure you’re doing good. Keep in mind that this is a place that you order the food then the food gets delivered by the number they hand you when ordering.
They have a wide variety of sauces at the table already.
We came here around 5:30pm and the restaurant was half empty.
We were able to sit in the back room a majority of our visit, which had booths!
Outside has park like tables where there is bench seating.
We will definitely be back!

Fantastic barbecue half chicken and brisket were our favorites. We had the fries and mac & cheese, which was really good and applesauce. Highly recommend this local barbecue place.

Was in town on business, decided to pick it up after work on my final day. Why didn’t I order this on night one! Holy smokes, was it delicious! I had the brisket meal, accompanied by a side salad, potato salad, and jalapeno grits. Absolutely the best meal I’ve had on the road in a while! If I get within 40 miles of this place on a business trip, I’m coming here! I did curb-side pickup BTW.

Continuing my journey around Missouri to find good BBQ has been a challenge. Took a drive down to Jeff City. Showed up a bit later on in the night, so unfortunately, they sold out on ribs, which was the main thing I wanted. Ordered the sausage and smoked turkey with a couple sides. The two meats were pretty great, definitely above par from what I’ve had so far. The pickled apples were a nice touch of something different that no one else offers. The beans and mac were pretty standard.

I love some bbq…. Somewhat a bbq snob but I’m
Not a negative Nancy. This place was really good! I enjoy the Texas style serving, I absolutely loved these fries. I’d like to know if they’re cooked in tallow because the flavor was awesome and the texted was too. The Mac and cheese was great as well. The meat had great flavor and I really enjoyed trying all the sauces they had. I really enjoyed their Texas sauce. I’ll be asking to buy some on my next visit. This will be a spot I hit when I’m in Jefferson City. Thanks for the great meal.

I eat here about two sometimes three times a month. I typically order my food to go however, I have eaten inside a handful of times and every time has been a great experience. I love that they have you pay for your meals when you order your food so when you’re done you can leave the atmosphere is always clean. The staff is super nice and always helpful and always accommodating.

Brisket was smokey flavorful, pull apart flaky goodness. Good pink smoke line and great bark.
Sauces were all wonderful, the KC & TX mixed were my favorite. The Sorta hot sauce was delicious
Jalapeño grits were tasty and fresh.
Mac&chees was shells in a creamy cheddar sauce hit the spot.
Classic sides potato salad and slaw were refreshing and light.
The pudding was amazing, almost like a mousse.

The service is 10/10 with a very helpful, courteous staff. All 4 sauces- Hot…Sorta, God Bless Texas, I ❤️ Carolina, and KC Sweet- are fire good! I had the brisket/pulled pork with cole slaw and baked beans. I’m giving 5 stars for the collective dining experience. It, specifically the brisket would only get a 3.5. It has a great smoke ring but it’s cold and lost some of its juicy nature. For what it’s worth, it’s the end of the day an hour before closing. The pulled pork is well seasoned with a proper amount of fat. The baked beans and cole slaw are money. The strawberry vanilla pudding is worth kicking your kids out of the way to get to!

Try the Texas Tacos! I’m very picky about my BBQ and especially sauces but when they told me these had a mustard BBQ sauce I was curious. 3 tacos-brisket, turkey, and I think pulled pork. Slaw and roasted corn with their I ❤️ Carolina sauce (mustard type). I’m not sure what seasonings they use but my taste buds were dancing, sooooo delicious. Also, great customer service, short wait, cool ambiance, love the clever/fun names of the meals, and they serve it on a sheet pan with butcher paper listing your meal name. Good vibes and outdoor seats allow views of the smokers. The hubby and I will definitely be returning!
