Reviews
kashmiri chai (with pistachio): 4/5, taste was good but probably wouldn’t get it with the pistachio next time
karak chai: 5/5, really good, tasted like home
iced latte: good
tiramisu: 3.5/5, good for a cafe
pecan pie tarte: 5/5, not overly sweet and crust was fresh
ras malai tres leches: 2/5, the only thing we didn’t like, not sweet at all and didn’t care for the consistency
The drinks tasted amazing! The ambience is also great- there’s plenty of space to sit and enjoy your treats that we ended up dining in even though we had gotten our stuff to go. Can’t wait to come back and try all the other amazing bakery items and drinks.
Eta: we came back a few days later-
Rosy chai: 5/5, nice perfectly subtle rose flavor and not syrupy
Cappuccino: 4.5/5, good
Quiche: 4/5, flavor was good, but point off because it was cold in the middle
Tomato basil turkish bread: 5/5, bread is soft, and good balance of cheese and tomato
There are plenty of places to plug in if you need a place to charge and work for a while with a bite to eat. I gave 4 stars because it was a little dirty in the cafe and the person taking my order was on a personal phone call as they interacted with me. Not the worst but not the best.
Overall, good food, friendly staff, but long waits and pricey options make this a three-star experience.
Tucked away in the heart of Winfield, Sweet Reserve Cafe & Bakery is a lovely new addition to the suburban coffee and pastry scene. With its clean, bright, and light-filled interior, this café channels a modern French bistro vibe that’s both welcoming and refined. Think airy pastels, tasteful décor, and an abundance of natural light – it’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger.
Ambiance & Seating
One of the standout features here is the plentiful seating – a refreshing change from some of the more cramped spots in the area. Whether you’re meeting a friend, working on your laptop, or simply soaking in the ambiance, the space feels open and thoughtfully arranged. The aesthetic is on point, balancing charm with comfort.
Food & Coffee
I tried an almond croissant, which I had warmed up. While the flavor was pleasant, the texture leaned a bit chewy – possibly a result of the reheating process. I’ll likely try it unheated next time to see if that improves the experience. As for the coffee, I went with a cortado. It leaned slightly on the bitter side, but still delivered a decent espresso punch.
Service
The staff was friendly and polite, which always makes a difference. Service was smooth, and the team seemed genuinely happy to be there, adding to the overall positive feel.
Final Thoughts
While Sweet Reserve Cafe & Bakery didn’t knock it out of the park on my first visit, there’s a lot to like. The ambiance alone makes it worth checking out again, and I’ll definitely give it another try soon. That said, I’m not in a rush to return just yet – but I’m hopeful that future visits will elevate the experience.
If you’re in Winfield and appreciate a stylish, spacious café setting, Sweet Reserve is certainly worth a stop.
