I don’t even know where to begin!!!! First my son in law called to place an order and they said they were closing in 2hrs (that should’ve been a sign. He gets there 30 min wait for fried chicken and pork chops. My daughter had the meatloaf with double Mac and cheese. She said the Mac and cheese was bland and needed a lil seasoning and meatloaf was just alright. I ended up getting the baked chicken over dressing, greens and black eyed peas. Chicken was the only thing good. Dressing was soupy and need more sage/seasoning or something. Greens were trash! Too damn sweet, hot sauce couldn’t fix that and lots of stems from the collards, black eyed peas was horrible too. I didn’t even eat the cornbread, gave it to my grandson. They give nice size portions of food but not impressed when I’ve been in the bathroom all night. They need more soul in the soul food!

This was my first time there and I will be back. The staff was extremely friendly they helped us understand the menu. The chicken was cooked to order and I was delicious. The only thing that was missing was my cornbread! But I highly recommend if you are looking for good soul food!

Welcoming and inviting upon arrival. Stopped by on Sunday with my husband, Pastor and his wife to fellowship after a long day. The food was buffet style and the servers did not disappoint with the generous amount of food we received. Items purchased between my party of 4 were sweet potatoes casserole, greens, meatloaf, catfish, oxtails/rice, macaroni and cheese, cabbage, and corn. Everything was seasoned to perfection and not undercooked nor under seasoned. The dining room temperature was comfortable for any guest. My only suggestion would be to have an option for refills and ice available outside of the bottle drinks. Otherwise customer service from beginning to end was superb throughout the establishment. We will return as we are always on the lookout for a southern place to fellowship each Sunday and you now have a new fan favorite customer.

I got carry out and the young lady that waited on me was really nice and helpful. I was looking on the steam table but she pointed to & read some things from the menu to let me know that more was available but was cooked to order. The serving size was good..more than a lot of places. The food was good. I got the hamburger steak with gravy, green beans, mashed potatoes & cabbage. 2nd plate baked chicken, cabbage & spaghetti. The food was good. I’m definitely going back.

I’m a soul food person!! I cook soul food all the time so I was reluctant about going but wanted to support. My sister in law and I dined in during the later evening. The young ladies were very welcoming and extremely polite! I had the fried catfish which was made to order and I loved that idea..who doesn’t like fresh and hot food! My sides were sweet potato casserole and black eyed peas. The black eyed peas were delicious! My sister in law opted for the ox tails over rice with cabbage and sweet potato casserole. She enjoyed her food as well. The only downside is not constantly keeping the food in the pans stirred and presentable. Other than that…it was good experience. I’d dine again

Yesterday, I ordered oxtail overs rice with macaroni and cheese as my sides off the buffet for my husband, but I should have eaten it myself because it was so delicious. I also ordered a 6 piece wing meal, an order of fried green tomatoes, and lamb chops as an entree to a meal. All we cooked to order so they were fresh, hot, and delicious!!!! Thank you to my servers, Ebony and Dorothy, for such an awesome experience. Also, Happy Birthday Ebony!!!!
