I absolutely love Sweet Marys. I no longer live in the Akron area but every time I’m back visiting family, I have to make it here (and I also manage to easily spend $50+ for me & my friends/family). I absolutely love all of their savory and sweet croissant variations. The chocolate almond croissant (a consistent item) is out of this world – the almond filling inside tastes like cookie dough. Their biscuits with sausage gravy are amazing. Their scones are good (although not my favorite item due to their dryness – typical quality of scones). I also really like their coffee, there’s always some fun thing to try. Definitely check out their Instagram for seasonal items – they update daily! The staff are excellent & kind, and I also love that they stand up for various social issues (which I appreciate as a paying customer!). Seriously, do yourself a favor and go visit. My family & I are *obsessed* with this bakery. Treat yourself!!!

Visited Sweet Mary’s while staying with friends and it made me wish I lived in Akron. I tried the cinnamon roll, strawberry danish and vanilla crueller, as well as a Vietnamese cold brew, and they were all delicious. Will definitely be stopping in again the next time I’m in Akron.

This deserves 6/5 stars. Sweet Mary’s is a staple for croissants, bagels, cookies, cakes, pies, etc. I was put onto this place via Instagram stories, as the bakery is very openly supportive of social issues such as LGBTQIA+ and Black Lives Matter. I love that they’re active in the community, it makes me want to support them even more. Not to mention, I’ve never had anything bad from this bakery. I always get the curried egg salad sandwich on a brioche bun. For pride, they have the cutest gay cookies. The coffee is amazing too! Thank you so much Sweet Mary’s!

I love Sweet Mary’s Bakery!! Everything I’ve tried has been ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and staff has always been kind. I don’t get to stop in often but when I do I’m never disappointed. Pricing is fair for the quality products (pictures of special Pride Month cookies and the take and bake cinnamon rolls)

Absolutely fantastic bakery! My first ever time here and I was so spoiled for choice! I got the Ube coconut roll & buffalo chicken croissant and they were delicious! Both so unique and the lamination on those croissants is honestly better than most croissants I’ve ever eaten. Even in France!!!

They shrank the eating area to add more baking space, and it’s worth it. They have gluten-free options. They have sandwiches and quiche, begals and cookies, and lots of other goodies! Check online for their menu, which is updated frequently. I always get something different, but we always love having lattes. My husband is a huge fan of the sausage gravy! Get there early; if you want something special, they won’t hold items for same day call ins. Oh, also, I’ve enjoyed getting they big soft yeast buns for Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches! OMG, these rolls are soooo buttery and amazing. They’re the same the curry eggsalad and chicken salad come on. Have fun exploring their creations and don’t forget to place your holiday orders in time!
