To start off with this my second time here. First time was for lunch. All was great. Second time 2 for breakfast. No wait for seats. Took a while for our server to check in with us. Not too busy. One waitress. And we only noticed 2 other employees. There was a wait for our food and coffee refills. #1. Grits were HORRIBLE. Extremely salty and tasted like they were mixed with old cooking oil. #2. Pancakes were hot but not the best flavor. Need a new mix. #3 Homfries, I’ll pass. No flavor. #4. Eggs were cooked well, but cool when they arrived. Bacon cooked great. Not thinking we will return for breakfast again. We were told kitchen help (one person) did not show up. Please fix your door as if you are a first timer or you forget, it slams EVERY TIME it closes.

Lovely staff, everyone is friendly & the restaurant feels very homey. We made choices outside of our comfort zones & were rewarded. The quesadilla made me realize I expected less of quesadillas, it was so flavorful & zesty. The fries were reminiscent of the McDonald’s French fry of the 90’s, crunchy yet soft yet salty but not. Yum. Involuntarily walking down memory lane to the tune of this magic moment.

My husband had a burger. I am good about not eating his food due to past unfair accusations of food theft. This time, I am guilty, but I feel no remorse. It was worth it.

Dip the onion rings in ranch.

Stopped in on my way home from Hampstead and was delighted by the food! The waitress attending us was an absolute gem! She really held it down despite the rush! I grabbed a fried bologna sandwich on white toast + cheese and egg and was in HEAVEN! Great hidden treasure with insanely affordable prices.

A quaint downtown diner with an eclectic decor. We went for breakfast. Greeted warmly and seated promptly. Standard breakfast fare with the biscuit being among the top biscuits I’ve enjoyed in a while.
All in all a nice experience.

Cute little place in downtown Lillington. Appears to be a family run establishment because there are some younger children helping out. Please was clean and the staff was friendly.
Menu is small, basic style deli food.
The sweet fries with drizzle was new for me.
I feel the prices were a tad bit high.
All in all, not a bad place.

It was my first time eating here. I went with my mother who eats here often. The menu was short but sweet. The sitting was great, the atmosphere was family friendly. The staff were friendly and kind. Scott the owner was friendly and kind. It was amazing to share cooking stories with him. The double cheeseburger was great along with the fries, I also ordered the grilled chicken breast with bacon and the homemade fried chips. The food was great, the only bad thing is the server never explained that the food comes without seasoning and you have to request seasoning on your food if you want. Other than that missed information everything was outstanding and will indeed visit again.

My wife and I love breakfast and trying new places. The name “Sweet Magnolias” caught my eye so we ventured down to Lillington. Very clean and quaint with open seating, decorated tastefully. The breakfast menu was average but we were a bit surprised that sausage gravey was not available for our biscuits. My wife got a kick out of the breakfast potatoes as they looked liked cut up French fries. Our drinks were served in styrophome cups and our food came on styrophome plates with plastic silverware. The food was ok but not up to the $20.00 bill.

Great place with great food and friendly service. Add this place to your map if you’re traveling to the river or Ravens Rock. Plenty of close off street parking and on street parking. The food is delicious and comfortable, great sandwiches, soups and sides.

Make sure you check the weekly schedule before going as they are open mixed times for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

We’ve always adored this sweet little cafe in downtown Lillington. The food is delicious and it’s so much easier to enjoy multiples of our favorite salads at one time than fix all of them. Here we had the grape salad, pasta salad, broccoli salad and the strawberry salad. All delicious. All handmade. All southern cooking. If you haven’t tried it out yet you’re missing out.

It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t anything special either. Wish I had noticed the health dept score of 94 before we had ordered. Staff was nice.
