I love Sweet Hut! They are close to my job and they always make sure my order is fresh, hot, and correct!! I order the orange chicken with a spring roll or i order two egg rolls by themselves. I went in today just for my egg rolls and the kitchen seemed busy but they wasted no time whipping up my rolls super quick! They are so delicious and yummy! They always have my food ready so quick! The staff is always so friendly and greeting when i come into the shop. Definitely will be returning soon, no food is ever wasted from Sweet Hut!! 🙂

I have found my new go-to Chinese Restaurant. Sweet Hut is indeed a sweet place to eat. I have been disappointed in other Chinese restaurants in the area but Sweet Hut is spot on. My dining partner ordered the sweet and sour Chicken – the sauce is served on the side so she was able to get the sauce/chicken/rice ratio she desired. We ordered the Hot and Sour Soup – hers was nicely spiced; I asked for spicy and they delivered. I also ordered the Hunan Chicken – Spicy – very flavorful with a good amount of spice – overall very happy. Portions were large – we had lunch and leftovers for another lunch for around $35+ tip – pretty good for four meals total (Hot and Sour Soup X 2, Egg Roll X2, Entrees X2). Will definitely return. Just so you know, this is mostly take out but they do have several booths and a couple of tables. Service was prompt and very courteous. Eat Up!

This is my second time ordering chicken from here, and unfortunately I had the same issue again — the chicken was undercooked and gooey in the middle. The first time, I thought maybe it was just a one-time mistake. This time, I actually didn’t realize it was the same restaurant when I ordered, otherwise I probably would’ve chosen somewhere else.

I’m not sure if this is just a Washington, PA thing or what, but gooey chicken is definitely not okay. It’s a food safety concern, not just a preference.

I really hope they tighten up their quality control because I want to support local spots — but I also need to feel confident that my food is safe to eat.

This place is fire. It’s a mom and pop little hole in the wall. Owners kids doing their homework in the corner booth. I lead with this because you can feel the love in the food.

Fried dumplings were solid. Nice crispy exterior and full of fillings.

General Tso chicken was some of the best Ive had. Crispy white meat chunks covered in a perfectly sweet and spicy sauce. The chicken is so crispy the sauce doesn’t make it soggy.

Curry beef was excellent. Beef melts in your mouth. Loaded with fresh vegetables. Well spiced.

Chicken lo mein is as good as anywhere else. Fried rice is on point as well.

Highly recommend this place!

I ordered general tsos chicken and fried rice and it was the worst I ever ate. The chicken was hard and my fork would barely poke through a couple of pieces of chicken. A lot of it was uneditable. The rice was awful. The only thing good was the crab rangoons. I won’t be eating here again.

Any time I have ordered from Sweet Hut, I have never add an issue. Except for today, I ordered my food and when I got home, I discovered my pancakes were moldy. When I called to tell them, I got offered an apology and that they could remake them (So I can drive back and have to waste time and gas for their mistake). Very sad quality has gone down this much that MOLD is appearing on food.

I paid extra for white meat and it was all breading the chicken inside of the chunks of breading was the size of a marble if there was chicken at all some where all breading. I complained and showed owner there was no chicken she kept saying that’s chicken all breading. I’m done gave them a second chance they will not get a third
