We hired Sweet D’s make a cupcake and dessert table for my daughter’s wedding
and they were an absolute joy to work with, everything tasted amazing and our guests
could not stop talking about how good it all was.
Beyond the food, their team came in and set everything up so beautifully. The presentation was thoughtful, polished, and fit the occasion perfectly. It took so much stress off our family knowing everything would look great and be handled with care.
If you are looking for a bakery and catering team that delivers both outstanding flavor and a beautiful setup, Sweet D’s is truly top notch. Highly recommend.

Good product but poor packaging = very disappointed!
Ordered a few dozen croissants to take to hospital staff as thank you for caring for our family member. Croissants were packed in too small a box resulting in smashed pastries and poor presentation for “gifting” (croissants looked nothing like other pictures posted). Additionally for the filled croissants our flavor combinations were not honored- instead of having six flavors for each dozen/box as specified in my order, all of one flavor was put in one box (so each care team got only 3 flavors in their box vs the 6 ordered for each dozen).
We also purchased 3 eclairs separately for ourselves which were more like long john donuts and chocolate frosting was all melted and pooled in bottom of box at pick up (3/3/2025).

Hats off the best bakery in Wilmington. Their croissants are epic. Seriously, you have to try one. Stop what you’re doing and go get a croissant, thank me later.

Sweet D’s is pretty good when it comes to there pastrys and baked goods. There macaroons are delicious but when I ordered 3 pistachio macaroons she put them in a container and was about to give it to me someone told her not to use those ones and to use the ones in the back. So she went back there got a new container and asked witch macaroons I wanted I chose the green ones but i still didn’t figure out why i couldn’t have pistachio macaroons. But other than that it was pretty good. Nice lighting and atmosphere

Ohh wow ohh wow…I just got my first taste of Sweet D’s croissants! AHmazing!!! The apple, chocolate and strawberry croissants are incredible. The croissants are light and fluffy. They melt in your mouth! I would recommend you try them all. Sweet D’s followed Covid-19 regulations. Everyone wore mask and the area inside was clean and marked for social distancing! I would highly recommend you stop in for a Sweet D’s treat if you are in the area!

Get your sugar fix here! I have had their cakes, pie, cupcakes, and pastries this year, and everything has been tasty. Their service is awesome, and they even did a custom sheet cake for me. It wasn’t cheap, but my husband said it was the best birthday cake he’s ever had! I’ve never had cake so fluffy or buttercream so well balanced. Their pecan pie was also the best pecan pie I’ve had, and it was way more affordable than every other bakery in town. I think this is one of the best hidden gems for locals in Wilmington and highly recommend for your cake and pie needs!
